August 11th, 2004 09:57 AM #1Good day!
I'm new here and I am planning to buy a Mitsubishi Strada 98 up, I really need an input from Strada owners. Any comments, suggestions and tips on how to buy second hand.
Thanks and am looking forward to your comments.

August 11th, 2004 10:17 AM #2mitsubishi strada 98-99 (first gen) 99-present (current generation)
is a very capable pickup, it has the most comfortable ride versus other pickups in the market,
the 4D56TD (IC) is an old BUT reliable engine
Parts is as abundant.
Resale value is ok
mine has climbed high peak (mt tupalao) can run with the big boys at mt pinatubo, ventured jungle base in tanay rizal, and attended numerous weddings.

August 11th, 2004 10:52 PM #8sir enyong im a satisfied strada owner,
no complaint so far about the ride quality...
the only problem i encountered after 4 years is the dancing needle :D sa speedo guage pag below 40 speed mo...pero above 40kmh steady na sya...d na nag lalaro.....parang na post na dito dati yang prob na yan.... culprit ata is the cable.... i cant remember if you need to grease of replace it...pero oks lang sa akin kaya di ko na sya ginalaw
about the 4x2 strada wala po .... yun na ang mitsu l200 for the first gen. and endeavor series for the current model pagkakaiba sa current gen is that there is no
intercooler turbo....for the engine
interior has triple meter cluster and a few other details....
suspension ata may difference din...
also the ground clearance

yung dealer ko kasi meron siyang offer na 96 model na strada, mukha pa namang fresh at mukhang maalaga din yung gumamit. same feature lang po ba siya ng model 98?

August 12th, 2004 10:06 AM #10i think all the box type stradas have the same features as do all the gen 2 stradas.
my brother is also thinking about getting a gen 1 strada for his scuba diving business.
has anyone here put on an intercooler on the gen1 strada and increased the boost? noticeable ba ang difference?
