End of the year for me means flushing out everything and changing odds and ends. Just changed the following:

Oil, air, fuel and ATF filters.
    Engine oil, ATF dialysis
    Replaced valve cover
Replaced front brake discs and hydrovac hose
Flushed out coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid
    Recalibrated my injection pump
Cleaned the A/C and replaced belts
Readjusted headlights and had the housing cleaned

There goes my 13th month salary. Happy New year!

    Happy Holidays to all!

    Matonong ko lang po.

Magkano ang binabayad nyo sa LTO for the annual MV registration of your beloved Pajero?
This 2015 kasi is PLUS 450.00 php para sa bagong plaka.

    Salamat,
    Ka david

My beloved FM just reached 100k so aside from my annual flushing, I had it thoroughly checked. I actually forgot to include that I replaced the motor on my small exhaust fan as well as my AC blower motor.

It took me five days to get everything done but I like keeping my FM in tip-top shape.

I had it done at Central Diesel on QA. It took two days. Cost varies depending on what needs to be replaced inside the pump as well as if your glow plugs are done for. In my case, my plugs were OK and my pump only had the usual wear and tear (thanks to 2T I think) so total cost was 10,500.

Eto ba yun 2T?

The 2T oil I use is Petron's power burn that comes in a yellow bottle. I mix it with Petron Turbo Diesel. I put in two small bottles of 2T power burn for every tank full of Turbo Diesel. I started doing this roughly 2 years ago and a good friend of mine even commented that my FM now runs smoother than before though I can't remember.

The yellow bottle is exactly what I use. I don't bother with what the attendant pushes to me. They don't know anything.

KILL, I recently tried Unioil diesel which they say is Euro IV. I'm quite happy with it (with 2T of course ). Less vibration and less smoke as compared when I was on Turbo Diesel. You can also check out the various threads here which are positive. :-)

    Howdy!!! A newbie here...

My friend also recommended me to consider a surplus Pajero at siya daw ang bahala sa akin, he'll help me through (he's a member of the Pajero Club of the Philippines) then as I was shopping around in the internet may mga Dubai Pajero pala na LHD na talaga pero parang napaka-hirap mag-hanap nun ganun variant... I need an SUV mainly because I am also considering the floods in the Metro and we might be moving to Antipolo soon (from QC)... My question is:

    1. Can I fit my budget to the car I wish to buy? Dubai variant sana eh. Where once I bought it minor tweaks and sakay na lang, ganun... Any other suggestions? My other option is a RAV4 kaso gusto at dream ko ang Pajero eh.

Is it true?

    3. I am a potential new car owner with little driving skills... Will this move (buying a surplus vehicle) give me headaches? In terms of maintenance...

Thank you very much and wishing a Happy New Year to all of us...

    2. Subjective for me.

    3. It will depend kung hanggang saan ang pisi mo. Ako, first car ko yun JDM Pajero, so surplus yan. Well, expect wear and tear sa mga parts niyan lalo sa underchasis. As time goes on, dadami pang lalabas na problema dyan.

Kung target mo ang surplus Pajero, karamihan dyan eh 20+ years na, so expect bigger problems as time goes on.

Go for it ... kung surplus just make sure na ok ang conversion and orig lhd ang dash (15-18k bnew) .. kung dubai na diesel test drive mo muna. Some of them have leafs springs for the rear .. while local and japas surplus are usually coil sprung.. so baka magkaiba ng ride or kung palitin n springs nya (leaf) mahirapan ka makakuha..

Local, japan surplus or dubai it really boils down sa current state ng vehicle.. bring a mechanic to be sure

Yep go for it. Habaan ang pisi when problems arise. Di biro ang mag-maintain ng isang 15+ year old na sasakyan and it needs TLC.

    Salamat!
