    anyone know kung totoo bang self adjusting ang tappets ng 4m40 natin? no need to retappet. I checked the previous threads and nabanggit ni sir woodfire yung specs ng 4m40 na self adjusting. kung totoo to ang galing ng 4m40 natin, wala nang maintance sa engine, pocket friendly. I'm hitting 100k and naghahanda lang ako ng list to replace or adjust.
    planning to replace my front suspension, wheel bearings, and fanbelts this 100k. meron pa ba dapat ibang palitan? already done all my supports and all fluids (diffs, AT, TC, power steering and coolant changed).

    1. Bridgestone
    2. Dunlop
    3. Michellin
    4. BF Goodrich
    5. Goodyear

    Thanks in advance, btw as iw as reading through this thread and other threads thinking what Shock absorbers to get, i finally did it. Got my OME set at RATS katipunan, sulet sobra you can feel the difference. Replaced the Coils (Bagsak na likod ko few cms) and the Shocks. Yun nga lang wala ng sensor.


    Side question probably a newbie one. Whats the difference of DDI with our gen 2.5?

    fieldmaster, nagamit ko palang sa list mo is bridgestone d694 and bfgoodrich AT. mas gusto ko bfgoodrich, not because of performance but, dami na kasi naka bridgestone d694. parang RC monster truck tires yung bfgoodrich. ganda ng tayo and shoulder ng tires. yung gen 2 namin naka d694 while yung gen 2.5 ko naka bfgoodrich.
    How much inabot yung OME shocks lahat? sira narin kasi yung isang shock ko sa rear, hinihintay ko lang bumigay pa yung kabilang side. pero balak ko oem parin sana, I was quoted 7,800 each.

    DID yata yun, not DDI, engine ng gen 3 and gen 4. yung DiD may ECU na, direct injection, 16 valves, DOHC, and 3.2 displacement. sa gen 4 plus CRDI lang. what surprised me is mas matipid sa diesel yung 4m41 DiD compared sa 4m40,


    dieselNUBI, merong manual na 99 model. but yung mga 4x2 (feb 00 model above) I think auto na lahat. paki correct nalang kung mali ako.

    forgot na sir, try calling them na lang. DOnt forget to ask for a discount. mas malaki discount sa eldo cubao kesa sa megamall, lower overhead.

    PB, in a way, self adjusting siya kasi sumisikip yung kapit ng cam habang nagwe-wear. Wala kasing tappet adjustment yung 4M40 e. kung gusto mo talaga i-adjust, kelangan lagyan ng shims yung cam. Sa list mo pare, i think you got all things covered.
