Bro here's a tipid tip..... major tipid tip.
Instead of getting a washable filter or stock filter, just bring your old filter to any auto supply shop which sells ISUZU parts. The Isuzu Elf (i think) has an air filter which is the exact size as those in the Local Version pajero (Japanese versions have flat air filters). What i do is just cut out the plastic fin part and remount it on the Isuzu filter. Do not discard this as you need it to equalize the air pressure inside the airbox and prevent the filter from deteriorating prematurely.... medyo mahirap explain (pero if you guys like explain ko in a separate reply).
The best part about the Isuzu filter is..... IT ONLY COSTS Php150!!!!!! haha!

Haaay.... I remember the early days din..... pula pa yung pajero ko and sobrang sariwa...
Pero four years on, i honestly still cant thing of selling my car and getting a new one... of course on one hand, wala akong pera heheh, but on the other hand for practicality.
Not counting luho upgrades like the mags, the repaint, the sound system... sobrang no worries gamitin yung paj. i just stick to my 4k change oil/filter routine and drive away!

October 10th, 2007 02:33 PM #1644Sir PK, i read your very informative inputs sa thread. tanong ko regarding my ride Gen 2.5 a/t .Observed ko that when i rev slowly i.e. less than 2000 rpm, i felt na magshift siya though not immediate but i really noticed the change gear. However, if i rev up immediately i.e more than 2000 rpm, i noticed (or felt ko lang) parang na stuck lang ang gear at hindi magshift or delayed ang shifting. is this normal? i also notice that after driving for more than 1 hour straight, it seems that matagal na ang shifting. Lastly
, everytime i noticed delayed in shifting, i heard some sound near the right side sa engine (i think near sa exhaust/turbo) like an unfastened nut. thanks

anyone here knows the model code po ng oem na timing belt ng 4d56tdic? im planning to replace them with mitsuboshi fanbelts. and the code nadin po ng fanbelts sa alternator and compressor(code)... tnx po

Why thank you sir!
Hmmmm..... normally AT's dont shift or take longer to shift the harder you squeeze the gas pedal. this makes the car go faster for overtaking maneouvers etx. When i want to make mine shift up, i usually hold the accelerator steady at around 2k rpm. Or kung gusto mo you can actually shift from 2 and L hehe. just make sure you dont hit Reverse hehe.
Just take care of your A/T and it will take care of you. i change my ATF yearly, regardless of what people say. Hey, it's the only regularly maintained thing in your tranny, why skimp on it?Also, of the Pajero tranny's ~8L capacity, only around 4L gets replaced.... unless you go through the laborious and expensive process of having the ATF sucked out. So 4L a year worth of ATF is reasonable. And at 1 total cost of around 1300 per year.... its a worthwhile expense imo. ;)

Well, if you can actually find a replacement plastic stalk, please do tell us about it! the last time my antenna broke, i can no longer find the banawe boy who repaired it (asa pa ako). And i seached the eskenitas, wala akong makita nagbebenta nung stalk lang so i went with the next best thing.... surplus japanese antenna and some mounting conversion.... not bad na rin for P1500, considering the antenna assembly costs upwards of 8k.

baka nga sir AC... your 2.8L is virtually brand new hehe. maybe it's just me, pero super bagal nung primera nung 2.8L ko....
I still remember racing my cousin's 2.6L Gen1 3 door.... di siya manalo against my then Gen2.... naka turbo mod lang nga yung sa akin... the famous washers.
