    Hey peeps,

OT: 2 weeks ago met someone (forgot his name) at a gas station, and his 3dr 4d56T was set up to make the "blow off" sound that turbo's did with gas engines. As I understand, with gas engines, this "blow off" sound happens when the throttle closes and so the compressed air is "released" -like an outlet. Namention ko lang kasi galing ng dating e, "mabagsik" ba Who else has done this mod? Pa-explain naman kung pano ginawa kung meron, kakaiba kasi e.

    Thanks

carnovice, a blow-off sound is usually associated with forced-induction (turbo or supercharger) engines. the blow-off valve is there to prevent excess air from going into the engine at off-throttle so that the engine doesn't run on too much air.

Galing ng site you posted! Naintindihan ko na, may use din pala talaga Pero from what I gathered, sa gas engines with turbo lang ba talaga meron o nalalagyan? Yun kasi pajero nya diesel e.

Sensya na dumami tanong, first time ko kasi naka-encounter may ganon. Kakaiba and impressive din.

    Thanks ha

as long as forced induction siya, the timer is applicable, diesel man or gas. although some use it even on naturally-aspirated engines.

I changed my plugs then ok na. My mechanic said that sometimes, not all plugs die at the same time so hindi napainit lahat ng cylinders. You would think it is still functioning bec some of the plugs are still working. The glow plug timer of the pajero has a flaw according to my mechanic (retired mitsubishi plant mechanic). He advised me to install a switch to cutoff the glow plugs after a few seconds after starting to prolong their life.

    hmmm. random thought.

same engine block ang 4m40 and 4m41 right? difference is that bigger bore sa 4m41?

so if same block, they gotta have same mounting points to the body?

if so, how easy would it be to swap out the 4m40 sa gen2.5 pajero and put in the 4m41?

anything else that needs to be transplanted along with the engine? (can't recall all of em kasi eh)

what about for the new 4d56 crdi?

just a random thought...which might come true if funds allow.
