Di pa pala tapos ito
Yung neighbor ko sa tapat pag lalabas monty ko kahit nasa loob siya ng gate kahit may ginagawa humihinto at tumatayo sa gilid out of the way ng driveway ko![]()
Nasa mitsubishi alabang ako kanina. May babae umaangal nag sua daw montero nila. Hehe.
This issue will probably die out once there is a new issue to sensationalize. I checked my friend's montero and the pedals are quite near and unlike many sports cars, the accelerator isnt floor mounted.

EGR build-up is a huge problem here. And yes, it can cause surging, which you can control with the brakes and by killing the engine.
That's why EGR blanking is so popular. Unfortunately, it causes an increase in NOx, but most owners don't mind, because Philippine emissions centers don't measure NOx.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
I just realized.... Maybe were the only montero market with the steering wheel on the left and the pedals are laid out diiferently for rhd countries?

^looks like it. parang old pinoy plates iyong ibang sasakyan sa likod at tabi nung na- aksidente sa 1st pic
lumabas ba iyong balitang 'to kanila de castro?
Same thing happened when the first 3.0 Everests came out. Dami din aksidente noon.

Seems like the same reason. Lots of new owners who've never had a "powerful" SUV before discovering what can happen when you have more torque under your right foot than your last three or four cars combined.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
Actually sinasabi sa defensive driving course sa Middle East na that most South East Asians are not used to torque engines kaya double ingat when driving sa middle east. Unlike the Locals there, na bata palang SUV's, V6's or V8's na ang gamit. Big percentage ng population natin are using cars na below 1.6 engines. Kaya kapag pinagdrive ng more powerful car, dapat magiingat or at aware sa magiging adjustment
