    as a safety precaution, you should always step on the brakes when shifting from N to D or N to R when using an automatic. medyo masama ata yun if you just drop the shifter from N to D, even if you're just idling.

    Mahirap talaga mag-lay ng blame... kaya the floormat explanation is the easy-out for both parties, so neither has to admit any culpability. Sad experience nga, but chalk it up to experience...

    i think in some (if not all) states sa US, may standards na dapat sundin pati sa floormats, to avoid these incidents. but i guess accidents really do happen so best is to try to be safe all the time
