My main car is a manual, my backup car is an automatic. Minsan nakakalimutan kong matic pala dala ko, so my left foot looks for a clutch, nagugulat ako na walang pedal.

But never have I stepped on the brake pedal thinking it was the clutch. Ibang iba pedal feel ng brake ng AT because it's a much wider pedal with much less resistance.

puede kung puede.
but the pedal ergonomics are "wrong", or rather, not easy to mistake one for the other.
with AT, the brake pedal is wide, to favor the left foot.

so how can the right foot mistake the gas for the brake? well, if their heights are similar, that would make it easier.. i also suspect the seating position and that middle tambol of a console, also have something to contribute.. i am confident ergonomics experts can figure it out.. i'm wondering when such a person will be interviewed..

Baka accelerator pedal placement ang ibig nyang sabihin. Tulad ng case ng toyota camry sa US na prone ma stuck and accelerator pedal dahil sa matting resulting to SUA and since di pa uso ang brake throttle override noon.

Wala kasing ergonimic issue pag dating sa pedal orientation, meaning mas malapit and brake pedal sa accelator. Standard yan sa lahat ng car manufacturer.

cars are designed ergonomically also, tulad ng mga american cars, they are designed as per the average people measurement with in their market.

now kung yung paa ng driver ng montero e paang luya, di problema ng MMC yun kasi di naman average na ang paa e hugis luya hehe.

How can we be sure that the Montero pedal positioning ergonomically designed nga? So dapat isa rin ito sa subject for investigation? Tayo lang ba ang left hand drive na montero?

that person could be refering to an interchange of the floor mats that could possibly result in entanglement of the accelerator pedal after vacuuming the interior of the car which is part and parcel of a car wash service

some cleaners are not familiar with proper shape of the floor mat for the driver side or simply haphazardly return the mat without bothering to check. the mat for the passenger side ends up into the driver side instead

I also own a montero, but I Personally don't believe in sua. Pero na pre judged na montero. I was supposed to sell my unit sana even before the abs cbn media barrage took place. Pampadagdag din sana sa new car na bibilhin ko. Reality is, resale value sucks right now, so I'll just keep it nalang muna. Pero sana mitsubishi takes a more aggressive approach in their media handling of the situation. Pa interview nila mga expert. They should ask a separate portion sa tv patrol na side naman nila iniinterview. Naghihintay Lang ng pamasko yang si kabayad Noli. And they should push more yung 3rd independent expert from abroad and challenge the accusers to jointly appoint one. Dapat may media coverage din yang challenge na yan.
Kung ayaw pumayag ng accusers sa 3rd independent expert, pa cover pa rin nila sa media yung refusal.
