Dapat me Safety reminder under the sunvisor sa mga AT na Monty stating the following:
    1. Your foot must know where the Brake and Accelerator pedal is.
    2. When in D or R mode vehicle will move slowly even though you're not stepping on the Accelerator pedal.
    3. There is no Sudden Unintended Acceleration, only Stupid Uninformed A55h0L3$ who mistakes the Accelerator pedal as the brake pedal.
    4. Once you encountered an accident, don't blame it on the Sudden Unintended Acceleration issue to escape your responsibility - In the 1st place, you don't know how to drive a Montero Sports. Drive at your own risk.

    Have a safe journey ahead...

Parang kulang sa safeguards yung Montero shift lever. Naalala ko kasi Ford F-150, dapat apakan brakes para maka shift from N to D & from D to R. Yung Manual car ko nga clutch start para di mag lurch forward. Hirap kasi pag low end vehicle kagaya nito, tinitipid yung dapat hindi.

Nope. I've driven several... errh... dozens of American automatics, and you can shift from D to N and N to D while the car is moving. No brakes required. You only require brakes to get into "P"

You can also start most automatics in neutral. It's only recently that they've created locks that require you to be on the brakes while starting the car... and even then, you can start the car in neutral... blissfully unaware that the car is not in Park, step on the gas thinking it's the brake, and shift into drive and drive straight into a 7-11.

What I find appalling in the video is the apparent lack of awareness of both drivers. The first driver actually stops the car at one point with the gearshift still in reverse and the car only held in place by the handbrake!

It seems very likely that the first driver parked it in "N" rather than "P"... the rest is history. Or hysteria. Whichever comes first.

If this is the case that it's safe to assume that your key was left on the ignition. Mine is 2015 glx A/T..dimo matatanggal ang key pag hindi naka- "P"

    even the brakes failed?

given your car accelerated without you doing it, diba pe-preno ka agad?

Hahaha. And so, maybe ikaw. You're saying a left handed surgeon cannot use a designed right handed scissors. There might be a learning curve but its not impossible if i try.

So thais can't properly drive a car in the philippines. And I can't drive properly a car in Australia.

    "ikaw ang nagsabi niyan!"

    believe it or not...
some medical instruments are specific for left-handed and others for right-handed.. and yess... puede pilitin, but why bother? just ask for the correct one. the good results will speak for its justification.
