Sorry at bawal ang FAKE NEWS dito, kagalingan. Wag maging ala mocha uson.
Top 5 best-seller last year ang Monty.
Here's something to read:
https://www.autoindustriya.com/auto-...s-in-2017.html
Last few sentences: "Fortuner meanwhile sales grew by 28 percent but the vehicle that gained the most sales last year was the Montero Sport. Against its 2016 figures, Total units sold this year showed a whopping increase of 45.8 percent."
So monty sales grew 45% but obviously Fort is still king, not only here but in other countries as well.
Personal experience naman, 5 of my doctor friends who have montys are so happy w their rides. However my 2 other doctor friends who have Forts have warned me na matagtag ang rides nila before I even step in para makisabay. Even 1 of them who had the old monty and ran 180k kms with it just bought the new fort and he's not happy with the driving experience. Na-miss daw nya old monty nya. Mas maganda daw idrive ang new CRV nya.
Never experience that SUA kung talagang me SUA. Tanga lang yung driver at sinisi pa yung sasakyan sa katangahan niya.
mitsubishi offer big discount last year for montero no wonder their sale increases but still cannot beat the king 😁
so for you SUA is real? damn.. now my wife will believe what i told her, wonder woman push my car when it stalled yesterday 😁
It baffles me how there still are people who are firm believers of this “SUA” controversy.
Drivers by profession are not necessarily experts in what they do. To a fault, it is way too easy to get a driver’s license here in the country Look at all those taxi, bus, and jeepney drivers who drive everyday for a living yet do not know several basic road rules. Chances are, these “professional” drivers are the ones who give us headaches everyday on the road.
As for the advertising and discounts given by Mitsubishi, I for one believe it was a way to counteract the negative image given off by SUA. Heck, I have no idea who that coach even is, but it would not affect my buying decisions. Those who bought it discounted actually got their cars for a very good deal, in my opinion. The only real faults that I know of are that the accelerator pedal is level with the brake pedal, and that the gear lever can be shifted without depressing the brake pedal (which I believe was fixed for the mid-cycle update.

It may be small as you might think BUT these could be the reason why monty has high # of SUA cases compared to other PPVs or any other vehicle in the country for that matter.
Similar to the o-ring story on the nasa space shuttle challenger disaster. - small issue, big problem.
On a bad driver on a bad day, this "prone-to-brake-pedal-misapplication-layout" can make a difference if mag SUA or not.
BTW, the stats were posted somewhere here, I think they got it from insurance company data, online stories and police reports.
I agree that the levelling of the pedals may be a factor, but if the drivers have to resort to lying (saying they were stepping on the brake pedal the whole time) and blaming it on some other mechanical fault, something is clearly wrong with those individuals as well.
I almost forgot to add that we do not see cases abroad (Thailand, Australia, Russia, etc). I do not see them complaining about the levelling of the pedals. It really is just down to how properly equipped drivers are to handle such vehicles.
Points taken. Any thoughts?
