The new models are even confusing if you are used to the PRNDL. You just only move the stick fwd and bckwd to change gears I have to check the panel to see if I am on the right gear.

Plus the electronic park button ay nasa stick mismo.

Sa 2011 Monty GTV ko, I drive with slippers 90% of the time. Does not seem to be a problem for me. Never had any problem.

But yes, I agree that it may be a problem for others

Diba pag ganyang design issue, pwd yan ma file as law suits sa US?
May study previously when the SUA was a hot topic that possible sa car matting yung cause ng SUA.
May matting kasi na due to movement, ma sandal sa accelerator.
So pag maapakan sa paa ng driver yung floor mat, ma trigger din yung acceleration pedal.
Lalo na if yung car matting gamit us matigas na material.

Speaking of mats, eto ung gamit ko. The gas pedal of the X3 is anchored to the floor, so hopefully the mat doesnt slip and push on the pedal.

It was an old 2005-2009 Ford Mustang. It does "SUA" up to 110 MPH.

The JB43 Jimny has a roof rack, roof awning shade tent and up size wheels, but no spare tire...

mebbe the spare tyre is in the seat behind the driver...

according to google,
the jimny's stock tyre carrier may not accomodate upsized wheels.
but upsized tyre carriers are available in the market, naman daw.
