Aircon mo dahil sinauna pa usually lalakas ang lamig kung papalitan mo ang evaporator ng aluminum (old versions were made with copper). Maganda ang convection of cold air sa aluminum but ang lifetime is about 3 years max. Easy to corrode at manipis na.

Usually freon problems or gate/pressure valve problems pag ayaw lumamig. Ang tulo ng tubig means that the water exit line is clogged up or na misorient na at tumutulo na sa loob ng car....I suggest a total checkup (around P1500 lang) plus cost of parts to replace.

Pag nagoover heat, it could be a problem of water cooling ng engine or a problematic aircon (compressor problem or thermostat problem or pressure valve problem din). After the clean up ng aircon try to see kung tataas pa rin ang temp. If yes, you might want to consider adding an auxiliary blower fan sa radiator.

Pag hindi ito na solve, baka your radiator is clogged up na (needs cleaning and overhauling) or your water pump is not working fine (needs replacement).

Sayang ang body kung wala pang body repair...most kalawang ay nakatago...i suggest ipa-check mo ito agad and do corresponding cleaning, repainting and even respraying the undercoat.

It is very possible na radiator lang. I hope you kept the orig na radiator cap....may markings iyun sa top on the "pressure" rating like 0.9, 1.2 etc. go get generic ones preferably with the same rating. Check the manual if you still have them for the specs.

Manila shops (banawe) should have one of those kun wala sa pangasinan. Or baka sa tarlac or angeles area lang.

Auxiliary fan varies from what type of auxiliary fan you would be buying...look for those high rpm ones (brand new or surplus) and those that would be thin enough to fit the space between the bumpers and radiators without a need for cutting. It may cost you between P600-P2000 all in.

Magtest fit ka before you buy...kalasin mo ung grill (and minsan pati bumper) para pagbibili ka pede mong i-visual test fitting...try mo minimal cutting as much as possible.

option 2, remove mo yung regular radiator fan (ung attached sa motor) and replace it wih a motorized fan na high speed....minsan this works too. Modern cars have this type of radiator motor fans kasi pahalang ang engine nito.

During its time (hindi pa ko pinapanganak nun), the Celeste was one of the first cars to come equipped with OEM radial tires. heheheh.

Ang mortal niyang kaaway ay ang Datsun 180B (my favorite car of all time).

Restore mo yung Celeste. Sarap ng feeling. After the 1946 Ford bigla akong nahilig sa restoration. hehehe.

Celeste pics. Ika nga sa "On Air", astiiiig...

I used to own a Celeste. Sayang had to let it go. Why? It's a long story.

Wala na iyong kaha, napakilo na, natira na lang is iyong mga mechanical parts (buong pang-ilalim, engine, transmission, etc.) and bumpers, lights, grilles, etc.

Maganda manakbo ang Celeste. According to some older people I've talked to, matulin daw iyong Celeste during its time. 1600 OHC engine, 900+ kg. curb weight are the main reasons why matulin ang Celeste.

Best thing to do is to replace your fan with an electrical type (hindi nakakabit sa engine crank) with a Bosch type. Medyo mahal but investment siya. Sabayan mo na rin ng radiator upgrade to two rows.

Good thing maganda pa ang kundisyon ng kaha mo, iyong sa akin, nakuha ko sobrang bulok in my attempt to restore one. But it turned out na sobrang hirap hanapin ang piyesa niya. I fell into one stumbling block (hood) kasi sobrang hirap hanapin. So I have no choice but to stop my Celeste restoration, sell the parts, and start another old school project.

By the way, there is a club dedicated to Old School Mitsubishi Owners and enthusiasts. Visit their website at www.oldschoolmitsu.com.

Saturn 1600 ang stock engine ng Celeste and I believe this is the only option na lumabas dito sa atin. Comes with 4-speed transmission and stock 3.9 differential.

Some celeste pics I've collected over the internet: www.pbase.com/usernadinaglogout.

    Enjoy!

Any Mitsubishi-savvy person/s here who know/s more about the Neptune 1.4L engine, presumably found in Philippine-market L-type and Bar-type Lancers of the 70s?

I tried to register at the OldSkulMitsu forums but I lost my email account keeping me from receiving email from the site.

Sa japan as early as 1975 may celeste na, which lasted until 1979 to 1980.

Sa pinas, 1976 Celeste (oval headlamps) ang unang lumabas, followed by the square headlamps nung 1979.
