    Disadvantages:

1.) Car is over 10 years old.
    2.) If I'm in your shoes I'll give my nod for 75k - 90k.

    Things to check and repair:
1.) Besides the usual fluids I'll have the timing belt replaced.
2.) Inspect the cabin if there are loose upholstery or signs of Ondoy (screws not in place, rusty screws, loose upholstery, plastic parts worn out)

2.) If I'm in your shoes I'll give my nod for 75k - 90k and nothing more than that, remember it's already a 10 year old car. There are exceptions of course if you know the owner and how the car was taken cared of.

Thanks froshie1, that would be a big help.

Sa tingin mo masMganda bumili ng secondhand na toyota gli 97/98 kaysa sa pizza pie? ano recommended mo? mahal ba maintenance ng lancer?

How about GSR 97, ok pa ba to at magkano ang tamang presyo para dito?

    Tnx ulit.

Ano ba ang expectations mo after getting a 10 year old car? Just don't expect too much when it comes to the longevity and the quality of the vehicle. It's already 10 years rolling down the streets of MNL. When it comes to maintenance din wag mo na din expect na mura kasi hidni naman ikaw ang first owner and isa pa again 10 years old na ang car.

GSR97? Sigurado mataas pa yan dahil sa 2 door porma nito pero for me having 2 doors doesn't make sense if it's going to burn a very big hole in my pocket. Sa akin babaratin ko pag 10 years old na ang kotse unless kilala ko ang 1st owner nito at kung paano sya magalaga ng sasakyan.

If you want porma and you're still single, the GSR is a good choice. However, it lacks torque kaya medyo mahina sa hatak. Other than that, ok naman sya overall. And resale value, I think is not an issue since 10 yrs na yan.

Iwasan mo yang pizza Lancer. Kalampagin ang suspension... Better get an equivalent model year Toyota or Honda. Much more reliable, of course those two brands have higher resale values so not sure if your budget will fit. Kung di kaya maskin Nissan Sentra of equivalent year ok na kaysa pizza pie Lancer...

Ang feedback ko diyan sa ganyan model ay medyo kalampagin ang suspension. If you have a budget of P200T, try to consider 1998-99 Nissan Sentra Super Saloon M/T or 2000 Nissan Sentra Exalta SLA. Make sure to test drive first before buying one. Don't rely much regarding resale value myths of Nissan, mga taong di nakakaintindi technically naniniwala diyan.

Yung kalampag lang sa mga bushing at rod ends pero nung lumabas yung ganun sa pizza ko dati nasa 120k kms na ung tinakbo so para sakin normal wear and tear na lang din yun.
