    Ano ba storya nito?
Di ba yung 4G63 lumang engine na to? Pero bakit ito yung dinivelop nang mitsu para sa EVO7/8?

Ano naman yung MIVEC? Bakit not release in the Philippines?

By the way meron Lancer Pizza binebenta sa may Ortigas (Buy n Sell Shop). MIVEC engine installed by Mitsu Philippines 350k daw

    MIVEC-MD Engine 1993

In 1993, the MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing and lift Electronic Control) engine went into production. At that time, the MIVEC led its class in fuel economy at 16km/l in urban driving without sacrificing power. The key to the MIVEC engine's outstanding operating performance is the three mode regulated operation. Depending on driving conditions, the MIVEC system switches between low-speed, high-speed and MD (modulated displacement) modes. Modified cam and rocker profiles provide the most efficient operation possible in the first two modes. In MD mode, the MIVEC engine utilizes only two of its four cylinders, which reduces significantly the energy wasted due to pumping losses. In addition, power loss due to engine friction is also reduced. Advanced cylinder air flow control technology found in the MVV engine is incorporated in the MIVEC, improving combustion performance.

Lancer, Mirage (Colt) and FTO models marketed in Japan are equipped with the MIVEC engine.
basically, katapat nito ang VTEC at VVTi ng honda and toyota, respectively. i read in a magazine that for the same displacement (1.6L), pinakamalakas ang OEM output ng MIVEC (1600 4g92 MIVEC produces 175hp) among the 3 (mitsu, honda, toyota)... pero di ko alam kung baket nadiscontinue ang production nito at ngayon lang binalik ng mitsu.

4g63 kasi developed yun noong araw pa para sa WRC racing. Galant pa ang gamit nila nun. Yung 1990 model.

Tapos nag-shift sila sa Lancer body because it was smaller and lighter. Pero 4g63 pa din ang gamit.

Yung sa Pajero na MIVEC, V6 yun at hindi inline-4. Mas kapamilya yun ng 6g7* family.

and i think pinakamalaking potential ang 4g63 in terms of tuning. unlimited tuning options which can be modded up to the 900hp zone!
