mitsu 97 glxi

good day mga gurus, kakabili ko lng ng mitsu 97 glxi this month lang. the problem is merong tumutunog (sounds like tiktiktik) when my aircon is on, pero pag off ko ung aircon nawawala ung sound niya. saka medyo mataas ung gas consumption ko 7-8 K/L lng siya on highway and less pa pag city driving; how can i improve the gas consumption (i think ok naman ung driving ko, di ko humhataw and hindi din ako madiin sa gas); could this be a result of low idle (800 lng idle reading ko, medyo nanginginig din ung makina ko while in neutral). lastly meron akong napapansin na tumtalsik na tubig sa tambustsho niya during cold start (medyo malakas din), but nawawala din to pag mainit na ung makina can this be a result of sirang rad cap (pudpod na ung rubber niya). but the rest ok naman, ung takbo at hatak nung sasakyan and to mention maganda tala body ng pizza.

how i miss my pizza. had a 97 glxi A/T pizza. city driving ko i get 7-8kms/L Light traffic and walang hatawan a/c on, pag hiway max speed 100 i got 11kms/L. no engine mods, all stock, but laging nasusunod ang tune-ups and change oil scheds.

yung tubig sa tailpipe in cold starts, condensation yun, it's normal my dad's old galants(zigma and lamda) did it, and all the 3 lancer models i had meron din. after a few minutes mawawala din. it's not due to a busted rad cap.

i suggest you hve it tuned and use a good quality oil, and use the OEM spark plugs.

as for the aricon di ko na experience yung kaya i can't say what that sound is.

i also use the stock wheels, 195/65R14

7-8 km/L for AT is good. My GLXI 97 AT consumes ng ganyang figures. Pinalitan ko na yung exhaust and intake nya. Yung tunog baka may mga loose screws lang. Better pa check mo sa trusted mechanic mo na lang to be safe than sorry.

yung "tikitik" sound might be the thermostat if i'm not mistaken... it happened on my lancer itlog just a few weeks back... eventually my compressor gave up and was replaced...

napacheck ko na ung car ko. about dun sa aircon the mechanic said that its the Front boost compressor, medyo mahal daw un. any suggestion. narerepair po ba un or replacement na po un? need inputs mga bosing.

delltek04- ask ko lang, pag on mo ung ac mo umiingay ba then pag off, back to normal?

i've already tuned-up my car palit spark plug and air cleaner. yes may difffernce sa km consumption, around 12 km na ko (under observation pa din).

i think that the 7-8 kpl is about the average mixed city/highway driving FC ng GLXI.

you can still improve that by keeping your car in tip top condition. mind if i ask what oil are you using? babaka mag improve pa yan if you would be using fully synth oil.

yung a/c i do not have any idea. yung tubig na tumatalsik is condensation. its normal, if i should say.
