May 21st, 2011 01:52 AM #2Had problems with RVR -- just sharing my problems and the solutions
Maintenance:
Cleaned servo
Changed oil
Changed Spark plug - (used my bosch platinum spare from my Opel)
Oil filter
Changed timing belt and bearing
Changed right steering boots
Changed 4 tires (given by a friend)
-- We noticed that engine was jumping pretty hard
-- We changed 4 engine support/ the x member was had 1 screw missing
-- Mechanic arranged the thread for the new screw to fit
-- Same thing, whenever I placed it in drive, it coughs and jumps. I can't put gas since it chokes. What I did was to place it to neutral then back again to drive.
-- Mechanic noticed ATF very dark (dirty)
-- We checked dipstick and we need to add 1 Liter ATF
-- the following day, we had to change it anyhow with ordinary ATF
-- it worked well for half a day
-- I'm beginning to feel bad cause every time it jumps, there's a possibility it'll destroy my engine support again.
-- I was supposed to go home already cause they can't seem to find the problem; I'm thinking this is bad if it's another tranny issue. As I turned, It wont even allow me to drive... it just keeps on jumping.
-- finally, they decided to remove the transmission valve body
-- cleaned it, checked the springs, air dried and placed it back
-- We removed all the ATF
-- I used a Dexron II instead of regular
-- As I started the engine and put the shift in Drive, i thanked God that it worked
-- next is my valve seal as my muffler emits white smoke (heavy smoke)!

Which is better? Amaron or Panasonic Battery?
