Alam naman nating maingay ang makina ng diesel adventure pero ngayon napansin ko may kakaibang ingay. Parang may tiktik pag idle tapos kapag nag rev ka nawawala. Iba talaga yung ingay. Ano kaya dapat kong pa check? Before may langitngit tapos nagpalit ako ng belts nawala na. Tapos napansin ko recently umingay na parang tiktiktik. Smooth naman ang takbo. May kelangan ba iadjust sa engine?

May nag try na ba sa inyo ng Vpower Diesel para sa 4d56 natin?

Mukhang wala pang nagttry ng Shell Vpower Diesel. Nagpakarga nako kanina P35/L vs 32.50 ng ordinary diesel. Kaso di ko pa napapansin ang difference ang traffic kasi sa Marcos Highway. Bukas ko ttry sa twisties sa antipolo

Hi! just got a 2010 advie GLS Sport few months ago... ask ko lang po if normal lang yung sound (like "nok nok nok nok")after locking and unlocking the doors... you can hear it lalo na when you're inside.... palipat lipat ang sound from different doors.... defects kaya ito ng power door or normal lang na may sound after locking and unlocking?

Yung parang may kumakaskas after locking or unlocking pero nawawala rin naman? If yes, normal lang yan. Yung ikot yan ng motor ng actuator.

FYI wag mo pa manual na bukas yung bawat lock. Driver side lang dapat lagi ang magcentral lock/unlock para di masira actuator mo.

...i think before na unleaded lang ang V power ng shell,may V power pala na diesel;caltex w/ techron kasi ang gamit ko,maganda ang response sa akyatan;

Grand EB last Sept. 4, 2010

As discussed and as agreed/upon during our Grand EB last Sept. 4, 2010, the following agenda/issues were deliberated.

1. OFFICERS/CORE GROUP

Composition of core group members will be based on volunteerism. No specific qualification(s) were discussed making everybody eligible to be a part of the core group, though, it would be better if such member(s) can allot some of his/her time for the group. ALL MACers interested are hereby instructed to PM sir "mackieboy" not later than 15 September 2010, expressing your desire to be part of the core group.

Core group members shall be composed of at least four (4), and can be as much as 20 or more, depending on the number of interested members/PMs received by sir "mackieboy".

As to the specific tasks of the core group, that has yet to be defined.

2. OFFICIAL MAC STICKER

Design of the official sticker will be replaced. The moderators will open a thread specifically for new sticker designs. No comments will be allowed in such thread. Comments, if any, are encouraged to be expressed by way of creating a new design. Deadline of entries is on 30 September 2010.

Selection of the new sticker design will be thru online voting by the members, which is tentatively set on October 2010.

3. MAC Forums/Yahoogroups/Tsikot/Facebook and other social networking sites are supposed to complement each other and a healthy competition between them are encouraged to solicit more information regarding our beloved ADVIEs.

Hi guys - i am choosing bet Mistsubishi Adventure and Toyota avanza- which is better in terms of overall rating? Gas consumption? Maintenance? Etc?
Also, do they have an automatic adventure?

Before anything, ako din si Marcdom88, pinalitan ko na user name para mas accurate. Si Torque is my Advie while si Pepper is wifey's i10.

Xempre biased ako sa Adventure. Di siya gas, pero ok ang diesel consumption. Old school so don't expect much. Maintenance? Any mechanic can help you, unlike the modern CRDIs that require engine-specific trained mechanic and casa-specific equipments. Built quality (toughness), taob ang Avanza (di naman kasi sila magkapareho eh). Speed, talo ang Advie. Sa pa-pogian, para sa akin, Advie.

Walang automatic na 2010 Advie.

Mas mabilis ang Avanza. Marami ka ba lagi sakay sir? Kasi kung solo ka lang lagi parang mas ok ang Avanza rear wheel drive din naman to like the Adventure. Iwas huli ka pa sa Makati, c5 at Marcos highway sa mga anti-smoke belching kotong kasi yung Adventure parahin yan kasi mausok kahit bagong labas sa casa.

Kung Adventure naman. Mas maganda tindigan nito for me compared sa Avanza tsaka kung sa flooded area ka nakatira di ka ipapahiya nito sa lusungan sa baha. Matibay rin engine nito. Kung 7 or more kayo sa family mas ok ang Adventure. Ang ayaw ko lang dito matigas ang manibela at clutch compared sa Avanza.

I own a Gen 2 adventure, about your inquiries;

1. overall rating - adventure (sales palang ng unit)

2. fuel consumption - kung mag-isa ka lang palagi mas matipid avanza (8-10km/l) while sa advie (7-8km/l) pero diesel naman hehe. in short mas matipid pa rin si advie.

3. maintenance - adventure dahil napakatagal na ng engine nito sa market compared sa vvti ng toyota.

4. no A/T advie, kung ito ang hanap mo no choice but to go Avanza.

How much kaya aabutin yun?yung parts at yung labor?
Pinaghahandaan ko na kasi po kasi alam ko medyo madugo yun..hehe

sir kung magpapagawa kayo sa El Dorado, mga 11-13k, kasama na ang labor all original parts na (timing belt, oil seals, tensioner bearing etc). sa casa baka mas mahal pa diyan.

sir sa ngayon ipa-silip niyo muna yung timing belt niyo, recommended interval nang palitan ng timing belt nasa 75-80k km naman.
