Mitsu? Depreciate? Do you own one or have driven one? Try nyo rin pag may time. I own an ASX 2014 and i love its ride. Its a total looker. Only downside 5 seater and just enough for me with my only daughter. By the way i happen to also own a Montero.

Ano naman kung masarap idrive? Secondhand pricing is all about perception.

The secondhand market is filled with buyers looking for something efficient, easy to maintain, and durable. For cars that fulfill those criteria, they're willing to pay a higher sticker price. Anything else will depreciate more quickly - left-field gas-fed SUVs and midsize sedans in particular.

The Mazda 6 was more of a standout in its class than the ASX ever was in the CUV segment. It even won car of the year in '06. But it's a gas guzzler and Mazda is perceived to be hard to maintain so it's really cheap in the secondhand market right now. And that's a good thing for enthusiasts who are able to discern which are the good cars for the price.

totally agree on this one. No matter how good looking or how the cars performs, it does not hold value if the general people perception is different. Of course this is good for 2nd hand buyers but at the end of the day, they will still have second thoughts if a certain car (regardless of brand except toyota lol) is a good buy and this is the reason why seller have to price it lower or they wont be able to sell it (or they have the option to just keep it)

    Hehehe... wag kayo ganyan...

Anyway, got an innova 2008 VVTi E last year for 270k + 30k for the agents.... Ask nyo si dr. d, lagi ko yan nimemention dito sa forums hehehe... wala catch yung sasakyan ha.. around 50k mileage, casa maintained, not flooded (hindi kami sa metro manila), complete with tools, may parking sensors na..

Seaman may ari, nagmamadali makabili ng Ford Everest kasi tapos ny na mabayaran Innova, baka nga kapitan yun.. Ni-trade-in nya at nagmamadali, and akala namin D4D, so nabarat sya hehehe....

Btw, kung D4D talaga yun and as agreed sa txt nung agent ng ford, makukuha namin around 480k, if matawaran baka ibigay pa hangang 350k to 400k, ganyan ang second hand market.

    nagmamadali lang mabenta

all cars depreciate based on the base value (acquisition cost). some brands command premium so naturally their depreciated value is supposed to be higher only because the consumer bought it more expensively compared with the competition

Considered low milage ba 25k from Sep 2011 yung Asx ko? I work at home. Sigurado naman malapit na malapit na ang workplace. Pero dinadala ko sa province paminsan minsan.

I would consider less than 10k per year as low mileage.

Actually nung unang lumabas yung ASX it had moderately good sales pero as years pass on and new rivals come in and without any refresh sales have slid or was non-existent already. Lumabas na yung new RAV4, the Subaru XV and the Mazda CX-5 so the ASX got "left-behind" so to speak. Pero even its predecessor the Outlander was considered a sales flop...

Hindi niya katapat SF, yung Tucson at sportage. Maliit kasi ASX vs. yung mga kalaban niya. Dito sa amin, tucson din pinaka-marai, tapos Sportage. Then ASX na, CRV and last Rav4, Xtrail.
