Yung sa tita ko unat na ang leaf spring, I'm thinking of adding an add'l leaf spring in to it, yung sa 'min ayos lang ('97 model side swing type rear door) 'di masyado lundo ang pwet, mas matigas kasi leaf spring no'n eh try switching leaf springs or add add'l bottom leaf spring to keep it straight when loaded...

basta di sagad yung shock, di yan tatag-tag.. so if you plan it to lift, say 2 inches--> dapat 4 inches longer sa original shock mo para may laro ang shocks...

afaik Shock absorber will only absorb shocks. it does not stop passengers weight.

I think replacing better spring is the best option.

if you plan to lift your vehicle, your shocks should be higher indeed.

but higher means more unstable ride.

2 inches pwede na yun.... palit ka springs sa likod/palitan mo ng hanger, sagad mo ang torsion bar sa harap, palitan mo ng shocks 2x the length ng tinaas mo-->1 inch=2 inches, 2 inch=4 inches para may laro yun shocks(di mag top/bottom-out agad. rancho na may 5 or 9 settings maganda..

I noticed that the last leaf of the leaf-spring in the Adventure was turned upside-down (naka baligtad).... why not have it turned over.

This technique is usually applied kung matigas yung rear... so binabaligtad yung last leaf... pero in the case of your adventure it is the other way around. It might become matagtag a bit than before but it would be able to have a better "load-handling" capability pagpuno ng pasahero.
