    mga sirs,

I just bought a GLS CVT this month, its my first time to buy a mitsubishi. Kunin ko sana Civic, kaya lang hindi naman sa akin sa Mrs. ko, laki kasi price difference at ang dealer nagbigay ng 55K discount sa downpayment. Any tips po about engine and CVT performance. Anu ba yun mga kelangan iwasan when driving at high speed. Ako kasi kapag drive eh speedy at a safe manner naman.

Maganda ang upgraded na interior ng lancer, 2006 model pa yun design ng car pero ok naman looks, maganda na din at decent ang looks

Not sure if the CVT tranny of the Lancer is better but in the Jazz/City CVTs had a high failure/problem rate. Keeping a light foot and smooth acceleration seems to help in keeping the Honda CVT working properly. So I would suggest the same thing for your Lancer if possible.

based on feedbacks, and if you are going to browse MLPH, wala namang bad reviews sa Lancer CVT compared to the Jazz/City's CVT.

    Hi Newbie here,

I also just bought my Lancer GLS last month, Ok naman ang performance..ang kaso, may napansin akong condensation sa tail lights (left and right). It appears during night time pag bukas yung tail lights, dahil siguro mainit yung lamp. I tried to raise my concern sa dealer pero ikinunsulta daw nila sa factory at ang sabi e "NORMAL" daw yun??! That means lahat ng tail lights ng Lancer GLS e nagmo-moist?..

Can you check your Lancer if the tail lights behaves the same way?

    Here's the photo:

    Hi,

I noticed my EX fog lamps (the entire lamp, both sides) had condensation too when I got home last tuesday. No problems with the head and tail lamps though. Im thinking it must be the weather.

i've had my Lancer for a little over a year now, CVT transmission din, never had a problem with it with just regular daily driving. ilang beses ko na na-abuso tranny ko and up to now wala pang problema. ang for the tail lights that fogs up, kalokohan yan kung sabi ng dealer niyo na normal yan. check the tail lights, may seal yan na sira, baka loose lang ang seals mo pero definitely not normal. pinalitan niyo na ba bulbs ng tail lights niyo? baka maluwang lang ang seals..

    Hi,

I cant see it that clearly sa picture but moist ba yan? If so thats not normal..usually hindi maayos pag ka kabit ng tail light meaning may butas baka sa pag lagay ng silicon kaya nag moist. Its just the same pag nag pa smoke ng head lights and hindi maayos pag ka kabit..

sa una din nga sa amin ganyan nag fofog sa loob. normal nga.

    Tingin ko
the lancer is the best choice sa price range niya.
Mas ok palagay ko ito kaysa vios.
Hindi lang masyado nabibigayan ng magandang rating.

And i love the lancers dashboard.

    Hi newbie here..

Been browsing the car manufacturer sites and currently on the lookout for a new ride na hopefully I can use when I go back there..Do I need to 'study' how to drive a cvt equipped car before purchasing a GLS? I've been driving sticks ever since and this is 'new' tech for me and well my siblings who will be primarily using the car.Hope to get this asap..Your feedbacks are greatly appreciated

    TIA

"Normal condensation is a natural process. Headlamps are vented to alleviate changes in pressure. Atmospheric air contains water vapor or humidity. When this air enters the headlamp through the vents there is a possibility that condensation can occur if the temperature is cold enough. When normal condensation occurs, a thin film of mist can form on the inside surface of the plastic lens. The thin mist will clear and exit through the vents during normal operation." (Got this from a Land Rover Technical Bulletin)

This link explains everything and has photos: Land Rover Technical Bulletin

Unlike the old sealed-beams which were completely impervious to dirt, moisture, etc. I think most cars today use polycarbonate lens for lights (which are flexible unlike glass) so they need some form of ventilation. Otherwise, the lens will deform each time the air inside expands or contract due to the the heat of the bulbs. Some lights are just a little better designed than others.
