but if you know exactly what needs to be done, that should be a much cheaper experience.

my usual suspects include perished door/window rubber or weatherstrip...
then there's the missing or improperly-returned plastic sheet behind the door upholstery.
and there's the never-ending crash damage, esp in purchased used cars of unknown history...

and, of course, that black horse... the leaking front windshield!
...of a variety of causes, from perished rubber (older cars use them!) to rusted metal to previous improper fix....

and don't forget the rusted wheel well... ugh!

last, the improperly-positioned aircon drain... in some cars...

the usual suspects.
check idle-up mechanism. this mechanism increases idling rpm when the aircon is turned on.
check engine timing.
check hi tension circuit, including cables (if any) and sparking plugs. baka may mis-firing.
check also the compressor. it may be dragging.

How will I check the engine timing? Already replaced my servo and noticed normal idle up mech when ac turned on my rpm somehow goes up, but shaking was noticeable while the car is stopped and my gear was on drive.

Btw im using lancer CJ 02

the one method i am familiar with, would need a timing light. in my day, every other well-stocked auto parts store had one. today...??

Hello newbie here. Ask ko lang po nsa magkano po kaya paayos ng malfuction na door. Ung door ko po kasi sa left passenger side. Hindi nag bubukas galing sa labas. Minsan okay, kadalasan hindi. Pero okay naman kapag galing sa loob mo sya binubuksan.

Also, kapag bagong start po yung engine. My tunog na matining na tumatagal ng 10 seconds tapos na wawala na. Minor lang po ba yun or need na ipacheck asap? Thank you in advance po.

BTW, Lancer 1997 GLXI po yun unit ko.

Question lang po: may naka try na po ba mag engine swap ng pizza pie engine (4g92) sa lancer boxtype? (1980’s gt or gsr). Possible po ba yung engine swap na yun o mag kaka problema in terms of space sa engine bay?

I’ve been thinking about buying a boxtype and swapping the engine and tranny out for a 4g92 engine as a project car that could possibly used as a daily or weekend car.

There was a green pizza hereabouts with a 6a10 engine. I rode it about 10 years ago so no idea if it's still running.
