December 12th, 2010 02:42 PM #711good for you sir, you have a very silent monti engine, unlike the unit got by my wife's friend (one month-old monti also), her engine is too noisy, even noticeable from about 6 meters away from the engine hood, it seems that the engine is shaking as well at idle speed. I told her to have it checked from the casa where she got her unit. we're also expecting to have our own monti unit before this christmas day, sana we are also as lucky as you are, na tahimik ang engine na makuha. Enjoy your ride sir.

December 12th, 2010 08:33 PM #712yun ba strada 3rd gen may ganyan din problema na squeaking sound since they are platform mates. anyway, when I bought my 2nd gen strada, i had the squeaking sound pero intermittent minsan lumalabas minsan wala, mas lumalala ng mga 3 years na. i initially blamed our driver and had my dad fire him for not taking care of my car
so baka naman tlagang normal yan kasi nga ladder frame kayo? i guess you just have to live with it, kasi hindi naman talaga car ang binili nyo, kungdi truck

December 12th, 2010 08:46 PM #713ganyan lang talaga pag nabile ka ng car na bagung-bago model and barely one year after its release. naging guinea pig kasi sa possible bugs. parang yun mga una nabile ng iphone gen1, sobrang dami din reklamo dun
buti na lang nun intro price ng crv noon 1999, at nabile kami, wala pa youtube reviews noon sinuwerte ako walang ganyan problems 11 years later
the same goes with my new released 2006 Sta Fe, korean risk pa ito, pero walang kaproble-problema. swertihan din
pero nun bumili ako ng strada 2nd gen noon, sabi ko sa inyo 3 months after using it, sobrang bad aura na ako sa sasakyan ko. talagang niloko ko pa dad ko nag magpalit na lang kami ng car , sabi ko para kang naka-pajero dito, tapos tamang-tama pag nag-out of town golf sila, matipid at malakas humatak
buti na lang pumayag dad ko heheh. haay, those were the days na akala ko pag naka Pajero ka mamayaman ka at mataas ka. ang kapalit pala noon eh hirap sa pagmamaneho and adjustment na what i bought is not a car but a truck. literally a truck, kasi mas magaan pa dalhin yun L300FB ko kaysa sa strada
----
di tulad ng CRDi crossovers, parang tsikot lang mga suspension neto. so light and easyLast edited by jimnyeatworld; December 12th, 2010 at 08:49 PM.

Back in the mid-90's, nagka-issue na nuon about the factory-defective units of Mitsubishi involving its pickups and SUVs. The defects range from oil leaks to poor engine performance w/c included abnormal sounds and smoke belching.
Masakit nga naman na kabago-bago ay may sira or problema na agad.
My brother-in-law is planning to buy a Montero this month pero nagkaubusan na ang stocks sa Metro. Sa 20th Dec pa daw ang dating ng new units. He is opting for the 4x2 MT variant. May available daw sa Cabanatuan but the price is higher . . . additonal 40k !!!
Anyway, thanks for your blog. Ipapabasa ko sa kanya ang mga feedbacks nyo.

Now i read about this sir easyman.. Very alarming..
As they say it in our forum, second case for the monty already but the other one is not yet confirmed. Hopefully, this is an isolated case.. And not happen again in the future in any car around..

Take these stories with a grain of salt until confirmed. Sometimes "sudden acceleration" issues are caused by driver error who believed they were stepping on the brakes where in fact they were pressing hard on the accelerator. The Montero Sport in question is an automatic, shouldn't the automatic clutch prevent the vehicle from moving forward that fast IF the driver was stepping on the brakes?

Yung extra AUX Fan is useful sa mga naka montero. Mag improve daw yung AC system since may extra...
