Anyone notice the 2.5 VGT has a higher power/torque than the present 3.2 DID. It would make sense to phase out the 3.2 GLS SE since the engine is used in the upper Pajero model.

I placed my doubt in the display of my MS 2.5 GLS, when I left home the other day, the display is that the Diesel I have presently can cover 190 km run, so I left kalookan-airport-kalookan, when I returned home it is still 190 km which mean not right.
So any idea if there is way to calibrate & makes it reliable equipment & not just pang porma lang. Also I tried the elevation reading, riding over the bridge(over pass) along edsa, wala rin pinagbago-elevation is 0.
At present this are the issue of my MS almost 3month old.

Thanks for any info-RTS

October 13th, 2010 10:12 PM #580Sirs, nakalimutan niyo that the 4M41 engine is now on its 3rd generation. Even though may VGT na siya dati pa (Euro and Australian models), yung 3rd gen na 3.2 4M41 now has 197 hp and 441 Nm of torque! I saw it sa Mitsubishi Australia website. So for me, hindi i-phephase out ang 3.2 4M41. Instead, MMPC will introduce the 3.2 4M41 with VGT for the Montero Sport, Pajero, and Strada; and they will also introduce the 2.5 4D56 with VGT for the Montero Sport and Strada.
