A no complain- ride and drive- never breaks down- never out of style- type of a vehicle. Mine is a turbo with a top speed of 130 kph (pero feel ko kaya pa eh).

December 4th, 2003 10:23 AM #17we had a 93 gen 1 pajero turbo. Nice truck. goes up tp 135 kph brand new. when it was sold with 175tkm its top speed was 130kph na lang. The Pajero turbo models never felt slow. its steering and handing was precise for an SUV. I liked driving it over our gen 2.5.
Its boxy design make you feel tough and macho when u drive it.
Its ride is medyo matigas similar to a revo. The front seats can be remedied by adjusting its under seat suspension to match your weight. Another remedy is highway biased tires.
Engine is prone to usok unless you have it calibrated every 50,000 km more or less.
Glass windshield seals should be inspected for leaks just to be sure its free from factory problems.
Over all its a great truck.very tough, good to drive, easy to repair. and very reliable. We kept it til the mileage was 175t.
sold ours 2 years ago for 375t

October 31st, 2007 06:01 PM #19Old thread but gusto ko lang mag add hehe.
I have a Gen 1 Pajero, 3 door, locally assembled. Lahat ng sinabi sa thread na 'to about a Pajero is true. Gusto ko sa kanya macho tignan, lalo na pag walang bumpers, mukhang maliit na hummer.
Sa kin nga lang gas engine kaya medyo masakit sa bulsa. But all in all, I love this rig.

para sakin classic po ang gen1...
never na malalaos.. specially sa pilipinas
do you remember nung late 80s early 90s..??
everyone was pajero crazy...hehe naaalala ko padi pedicab and tricycles.. had pajero letterings... dami panga noon parehos..
kris had a pajero robin padilla also had one.. status symbol sobra ito during those times...
hindi naman gen2 or gen3 ang nagpasikat sa pajero... it was the gen1..
pros:
very nice po to be used to the office.. or outing.. laki ng cargo space...
can seat 7 comfortably.. all facing front..
hindi kana mamromroblema pag malakas ang ulan at kakabahan sa baha..
madali ang piyesa..
tried and tested na ang makina.. mapa n/a or turbo
cons:
makalampag..
pag mainit panahon.. hindi kaya ng aircon.. hindi pa po ito dual aircon eh..
goodluck po sir.. sa pagpili ng inyong new rig
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
