owners of 2007 lancer gt 2.0 help please.

im inclined to take the 2.0 lancer gt na instead of the lancer mx -> kasi ubos na e. im reconsidering din getting the civic kung pangit ang gt overall... anyway, id like to have insights about the 2007 lancer gt 2.0 to help me decide kung kukunin ko nga talga un. mas ok sana if anyone of you owners of the gt can provide me insights talaga mas maappreciate ko ng todo un.

may i ask lang mga pips kung gano ka lakas kumain ang lancer gt? how do you find this car overall? any cons about it? hows the performance? mahina kc xa kumpara sa civic 2.0 engines e, baka sobra- sobrang lugi ako pag napalancer ako... if you can give really the juicy inside scoop it will be greatly appreciated. kahit ung pangit na feedback ok lang, just need to have a full decision on it whether to take or leave it.

although i have no qualms with the 2.0 Lancer, but if you are comparing it with the 2.0 civic, then, imho, the 2.0 civic is better.

In terms of engine and transmission, the Civic is tons better. It's faster, and possibly a bit more fuel-efficient. It's got great interior space, too.

But:

The Lancer has better steering feel, a more sophisticated-feeling suspension (weirdly), better sight-lines and more comfortable seats.

In other words... wait for the new Lancer...

wla na kasi e, i cant wait anymore... like i said... the need is immediate na kasi e. the only way i can wait is if my papers stall and abutin ako ng may or june and abutin ko lumabas ang new lancer. otherwise its a longshot na.

basta i just need to know if im getting the gt... d ba ako immock for getting it? baka kasi im unknowingly getting into a bad deal with this car e. pano ang gas consumption pla nito, any ideas?

i really dont mind if its slow compared to other 2.0's out there basta decent enough na ang delivery nya ok na sakin yun, im not into performance driving naman talga e. and ang fuel consumption nya kahit standard na kain nalng sa 2.0 un ok na din sakin... basta wag lang tipong insanely uminom talga ng gas at inuutot lang un for no good reason. and lastly, ok narin sakin ung itsura nya... i now finding myself liking the design of this car. kahit yung pwet na dati i find so repulsive, ok na e... ewan ko ba kung pano nangyari sakin un...

what i just like about the car is the all in standard safety features, wrap-around body skirts, and may spoiler na rin, ok stock audio, and may dvd. and old engine means readily available and cheap parts for it dahil mass produced na. yung tranny eventually bka pede nman mapalitan yun kung magkaroon ng surplus na tranny for 4g63... magkakasya naman siguro un...

ganyan din ako nung una, pressure nako that time na kelangan ko na bumili ng oto, ang una kong nakita e yung lancer GT, na inlove agad ako sa kanya, with 4G63 engine, tapos with DVD and monitor pa, may carbon fiber sa dash, racing seats, 4 wheel disc brake. Muntikan na nga ito mabili ko, but when i get to see the all new civic, sabi ko sa sarili ko, "dito na lang ako sa civic kesa sa lumang model lancer na soon it will be replace with a new model lancer" nad ithink it is priced at around P910,000, just add a couple of thousand, viola! a new 2.0 civic M/T

Anyways I got my GT last December 16, 2006 I also plan to go with MX pero nung nakita ko yung GT I changed my mind and took the GT. Sa speed okay lang sa akin hindi ko minsan namamalayan na 130 na pala yung takbo ko kaya before pa ako mahuli ng NLEX police eh nag babawas na ako ng speed. In terms of look wala rin akong masasabi kasi all setup na yan interior and exterior naka recaro look pa na seats. In terms of gas sa totoo lang hindi ko pa calculated kung malakas or hindi pero full tank nya eh 1,500++ lang and umaabot pa sya sa akin ng 20 days I'm going out almost everyday, shell V Power nga pala gas ko sa GT ko.

To be honest with you maganda talaga ang 2008 Lancer pero ang question talaga dyan eh kung i a avail ng Mitsubishi Philippines to distribute this new Lancer dito sa pinas, we can never be sure until makita natin sa showroom ng mitsubishi agents.

The last decision is still with you, if you will go with Civic, GT Lancer or wait for new lancer it's all your decision. Dapat lang no regrets, happy ka and take care of your investment.

That's all I can say sana wala po akong nasagasaan dito sa comment ko, medyo na hurt din ako sa ibang negative comments about my ride eh. Kahit sino man siguro na pumintas sa sarili nyong gamit kahit papaano affected kayo.

actually, oo! mga tulad mo nga ang inaantay ko magpost. hahaha, and to think ngaung april ka lang naging member ng tsikot.. muntik kana mag near miss. hehehe. i havent gotten my unit yet. but now im already decided to get the gt. kabado lang ako sa fuel consumption kung kaya ko isustain. bka pwede moko mabigyan ng idea dito pag sinipag ka magcalculate ng consumption ng kotse mo.

id have to agree, all of them posters have opinions about the gt but all of them are not actual owners hehehe. the only posts i find really helpful are the ones given by niky. un ang mga tipong seseryosohing basahin. THANKS NIKY!! =)

tapos, actually... ung lancer lang talga ngaun ang kotse that i find appealing... all the rest are either nakakasawa na or too modernly designed for me to take. nagagandahan nako sa lancer among the other cars. saka nga pla considering the limited number of gt's d kaya mahirapan tau sa parts nito balang araw? konti lang kc ang gt units na nabebenta e. i actually havent even seen a single one on the street. but thats one risk im willing to take. then about the performance... i do admit, sucky talga xa as compared to its class... un nga lang im willing to sacrifice it kc d naman ako talga racer e, basta nkakatakbo lang xa ng 140 ok nako dun. hehehe. un na ang topspeed na kaya ng dibdib ko. hehehe

lastly, yang 2008 na lancer na yan... i gave up on the idea of waiting for it. for 2 main reasons:
1. it was just released in the US this april.. release date here in the philippines is non existent as far as accuracy and reliability is concerned. for all u know last quarter pa ng 2008 ilalabas yan.
2. it is not sure if we will get the same units here as the ones in US. most likely hindi, they will design an asian version of it.
i stopped hoping for what is to come. basta importante, kelangan ko na un ngaun and swak na sya sa taste ko.

GT+turbo= ahhhhmm... an EVO??? something like that evo but not an evo.

anyways, good choice yang GT. fuel comsumptin nyan is 21 km/liter kung magaan ang paa mo sa high way.

we have the 97 lancer 1.6, o well nakakapikon ang fuel consumption. how much more kung 2 Liters, baka idisplay ko nalang.

Truthfully, it's a very nice car. Supple suspension, good handling, nice interior, great seats, and nice bodykit. Revvy engine. But then you get to the transmission... que horror. If there's anything worse than saddling the Focus 2.0 with their 4-speed automatic, it's saddling the Lancer GT with this crappy INVECS box that has a first gear that's longer than my second gear.

Pero kung i-turbo mo... baka kaya pa...

guys, its been 2 yrs na since nabili niu ang GT niu. Balita naman... I am planning to buy a pre-owned eh. balita naman about FC and performance - especially pag napalitan na ng aftermarket parts yung OEM parts. hehehe
