Ondoy is an old story and it's been a year and a half after the calamity. I am curious on how your flooded cars are doing after you restored them.
I have a space wagon and i had it up and running about 3 weeks after the big flood/ondoy; and I've never had any major issues with it.
How about you guys? Have you sold your cars already? For those who kept theirs, what horror or positive stories do you have on your cars after it was submerged?
Thanks!

2 months ata nastock yung sa amin sa garahe, 3 weeks after ondoy ayos na ang lahat except for the ECU and alarm, hindi kasi natanggal sa baterya. Brand new ECU costs P74k at Ford casas plus a long long wait kasi ioorder pa. Eh may nakita akong for sale na ECU online for a good good price (P18k ata yun), ayun binili namin agad. And, VOILA, umandar na siya. Used it for a couple of months then binenta na sa pinsan ko. Ngayon maganda pa rin naman daw takbo nun.

Was among the first in line at Toyota Shaw blvd.. flood was up to aircon knob inside.. binaklas nila lahat.. nilinis.. inayos wiring.. baba transmission.. pinalitan nila lahat nang fluids.. nilinis aircon.. car was running after 3 weeks.. luckily may AOG ako sa insurance.. had the carpet replaced with brand new.. then after 1 week.. bumigay aircon motor.. had that replaced.. nasira din yung isang seatbelt sa 2nd row.. had that replaced too.. lahat sagot nang insurance.. bumigay din pala battery ko after a few months.. had it replaced under warranty sa motolite..
after 6 months.. found rust build up under the hood.. sa may battery stand.. had it repainted.. sagot pa din nang insurance..
after 1 year (november 2010).. heard a humming sound sa engine.. had it checked ulit sa casa.. pinalitan idler pulley.. sagot pa din nang insurance.. humming sound was still there.. then after 1 week.. transmission died while on a test drive sa casa.. they had it towed.. sunog transmission.. insurance wanted overhaul, i declined and said i wanted the entire transmissioin replaced.. took 3 weeks to approved and 1 month of waiting from parts.. entire transmission replaced, had the car back after almost 2 months.. transmission costs 200T.. sagot nang insurance.. after 1 week.. may humming sound pa din.. they replaced the torque converter.. another 50T sagot pa din nang insurance.. nasira din pala yung gas lid wiring ko.. naputol.. kinalawang daw.. pinalitan din nila..
insurance paid more or less 500T from the time nung na ondoy until after 1 year.. car running perfectly now..

yup. congrats talaga sayo qwerty...you're one lucky insurance customer hehehe
The best, he said that took care of their cars is Honda. Although it took almost 1 year before he got hold of his Civic. It was everything like it was pre-ondoy except that it doesnt have stereo anymore. Nung nag loko yung AC binalik nya inayos pa din under back job warranty. The crappiest would be Toyota and Chevy. Toyota for returning the car with mud smell inside and crappy interior detailing and Chevy for charging them 400K to make their car just to start for an 05 Optra AT that costs about 250K na lang! hahaha comedy rin sila eh
