Hello guys. Im a newbie sa tsikot. Here's my problem. I have just bought a GSR 97 for 160k in good condition. Gusto ko syang gawin project car but first I want to concentrate my budget (around 50k) on increasing its HP. Ang modification lang nya ay air filter. Please help me kung ano mga pwede ko i upgrade and san nakakabili at how much. Please refer me also to similar threads I know pareho lang makina nito sa Glxi. I would even consider replacing engine with bigger displacement. Thanks in advance !

If you have the budget for it, go for a bolt-on turbo kit. It's a little difficult to find for Mitsubishis though. Of course, you'll have to spend also for upgraded brakes and suspension. Plus, don't forget the decrease in fuel efficiency.

Thanks for the prompt reply guys. Does anybody here who knows san pwede magpakabit ng turbo and how much? I'll just upgrade my brakes and suspension to match with the increase in hp. Do i have to install stabilizer bars? Pareho lang kaya siya stabilizer bar ng glxi?

Turbo? Garantisado? Look at spending around 80k pesos, given you can find a surplus air-fuel controller that can completely control your fuel injectors... and possibly a fifth injector, cheap piping, a boost controller and a blow-off valve and secondhand turbo that's still good... as well as scheduling dyno-time or street-tuning time with a tuner with an af-meter.
Spend or do any less, and that's Garantisabog. At 50k, you might just be able to make a kit. I can't guarantee it won't blow up your car, though.
The cheapest commercial kits are around 150k pesos. Brand new everything, including electronic management and tuning.
For 50k? Safest buy for just a little more power is an air-fuel controller, custom mandrel-bent exhaust (local), a custom intake and a K&N head, and some dyno time to tune your AF controller and adjust your timing. Good for an additional 25 hp or more on your motor. Which is just about enough if you aren't changing anything else.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

I agree with niky.
But if turbo talaga gusto mo, you can try kila MSF Autoworks diyan sa Blumentritt.
They recenty turboed yung GSR ng friend ko for about the same budget as yours.

Turbo is indeed expensive ... try to have an engine change muna .. from 1.6 to 2.0 dagdag HP at hatak na yan .. tama si Nilky mahal talaga mag paturbo .. pero kung gusto mo talaga stretch mo yung budget mo
