    sir/mam meron na po ba sa inyo naka pag try na mag DIY engine wash ano po ba ang dapat at hindi dapat mabasa sa adventure natin
    tip po nang isang kasama ko takpan ang alternator..... baka my ibang tips pa po kayo diyan yong mga nakapag engine wash na po thanks

    Newer cars are usually well-protected to water leaks and sprays so its OK not to cover anything.
    Just make sure not to spray directly into your alternator and air intake to prevent damage.

    This is what I did to mine:

    - pop the hood, spray engine degreaser/engine shampoo all over.
    - let it sit for a while. a good 5 minutes will do.
    - hose it down with even sprays. don't use a pressurized sprayer.
    - wipe it down with some microfiber cloth.
    - run the engine to aid water drying
    - spray some engine protectant to bring back the black shine.
