I'm considering the Lancer EX as my first car

But there are so many models of EX, I'm eyeing for the MX or the GLX?

Can someone explain to me the difference between the two? And which is a better choice for a ride?

I think the local EX does not come with a turbo, what I think your mentioning is the ralliart version which is not sold here.

The following are the variants of the Lancer EX aka "Fortis": (from top end to low end)
    1. GT-A
    2. GT
    3. MX
    4. GLS
    5. GLX

The previous generation lancer aka "Cedia" is still sold alongside the lancer ex, having two variants, gls and glx.

The most notable features differentiating the MX and the GLS is that the former comes with abs-ebd and only available in a/t.

I suggest you get the mx.

    Hope this helps!

So this means GLS and GLX are new addition to the line-up? More like a "stripper" versions of the GT-A, GT, and MX?

So if the Lancer EX versions of GLS and GLX were introduced, will they still continue selling the old or previous Lancer body GLS and GLX. I see a redundancy.

The EX variants have 2.0L engine displacement. And they are meant to compete with the Altis. Civic, etc.

The old GLX/GLS variants are powered by a 1.6L powerplant. Due to its pricing it competes with the 1.3/1.5L subcompacts of other brands.

Hi I'm getting my first car
