brake lights = check bulbs, pag ok, check fuse, pag ok, check switch (sa pedal)
hard start = baka loose compression na nga.

September 16th, 2004 04:31 PM #6According to Haynes Pajero repair Manual
sec 0-19 #4
Engine Hard Start When Cold
1. Battery discharged or low
2. Fuel not reaching carb or fuel injectors
(check fuel filter, lines, pump)
3. Choke inoperative
4. Defective spark plugs
5. Diesel pre-heating system not operating properly
double check lang muna lahat ng items above thats applicable to ur ride- just in case

Baka glow plug relay lang ang problema. Either sira na or loose ang kabit.
Btw, it is installed directly on your battery.
Bakit may defective spark plugs dun sa Haynes Manual? :D
Sa brake lights, naging problema ko din yan.
Mali pala ang adjustment ng switch above the brake pedal. Inadjust ko and it worked fine again.

September 16th, 2004 05:03 PM #9Haynes manual topic of Hard Start When Cold
covers all possible symptoms for diagnosis for 4g54, 2.5 & 2.8 diesel, V6
ako rin na lito when going over the Troublshooting section detailing all the symptoms
BUT per symptom points to a specific chapter covering your specific engine model/type
general symptoms all lumped into one heading and refer to specific chapter for your model's recommended work/approach

kung ok naman ang switch, fuse and bulbs. check the contacts of your brake lights. yung saken nabulok contacts kaya kinailangan palitan. bulbs were fine though. hehe :D
Thank you!
