Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone can help or give me an advice. I own a mitsubishi lancer gls year 2005 model, 1.6 engine cvt. second hand. My problem is the fuel consumption, it is a little bit high, it is around 5km/liters city driving. I already changed oil, replace air filter, tune up, but still the same. What can I do to make a reasonable rate of 7 or 8km/liters?

Even if this car is supposedly inefficient, this is not the norm. I'd expect this sort of gas mileage from big V6 engines around 3.0-3.5L in displacement! Have you already tried changing the CVTF? Try also using the manual shift override and shift as early as allowable by the transmission. And as 1D4LV said, there may also be problems with the ECU programming. You may want to have it checked with an ECU analyzer.
