gaano ba dapat kalayo ang average na tinatakbo ng diesel bago ma overhaul? sige try ko gawin yung washer na upgrade bukas, para lumakas pa ang hatak, aside from washer ano pa ba pwede gawin para bumilis? nakita ko sa pic ng engine ni pajerokid merong maliit na airfilter ok ba yun?

Most diesels run into the 100K's before mangailangan ng overhaul.

The small air filter you see is a Breather Filter, yung exhaust gases that come from your cylinder head evaporated oil goes to your intake manifold, ibes na pumasok ulit sa engine nilalabas nalang nito sa atmosphere.

If you want to gain more horspower try installing larger exhaust pipes and a free flow muffler, you can also install an open type filter like K&N for more breathing.

any shops you recommend na posible n sila n gumawa nito.... est naman po inc labor....

nweiz.... i came up with some site na they used bleeder valve instead.... pero on my opinion.... mdyo matrabahu kc trial and error ang pag set.. unlike with the wash modz.... set n tlga ang bukas ng actuator......

hi guys, newbie here. i just want to share my experience with you guys, i have a 98 model space gear local version, after reading through these pages the last couple of days and after consulting with my trusty mechanic, this morning i installed three (3) washers on the actuator can mount, the 3 washers total 4.56 mm. me and my family went to church and after a 15km drive i opened the hood before going to church to check if any abnormalities would result. well, aside from a slightly hotter engine bay, there was nothing unusual. oh by the way dwhile driving along slex i noticed an increase in power, mas magaan ung takbo ng space gear ko.

by the way, my mechanic told me not to use an air filter in the crank case hole where the hose was, sabi niya, instead of spending for the filter, just remove the connection of the hose to the filter and angle it downwards para tatapon na lang kung ano man ung lalabas na oil dun.

finally, i also removed the small plastic tube that connects th air filter housing to the fender wall, mas nakakahinga ang engine, ramdam ko especially in low rpm situations.

i still have the pictures that Pajerokid posted here, which shows the step by step procedure, words and pictures, of the whole thing. Applies to both 4d56 and 4m40 engines. I used these pictures to show to the mechanic when I did the same procedure on my pajero 4d56 tdic. its on microsoft word fomat.

But to make it public, siguro we need to ask the permission of pajerokid before I can share it back to tsikot public?

won't the intake suck hot air radiating from the engine?

the engine will overheat if there is too much boost. and sometimes if it is too much you will also lose power.

Syempre. But we're still running a relatively mild boost increase so I'm not worrying so much.

I think I will break my tranny (due to the off-road antics) first before I break my engine.

im using an open type cone for the paj. Meron slight increase in power and mas responsive yung engine in general. By the way, SIMOTA lahat gamit ko..... proof na di ako rich kid hehehe :wink:
