Good One! hehehe :D Im sure such a mod is very possible for the 4M40. Unfortunately, there's no illustration of a 4M40 Intake manifold (the actuator in particuler) in my Haynes manual so i cant confirm. :|

No prob with me pre. Pero eto problema. The intake manifold gets sooooooo hot. I suggest this be done when the engine is totally cool for your manifold's sake (aluminum is easily deformed). By the time makapunta ka samin kelangan mag cool down ng medyo matagal as in around 3 hours or more. :D

Yellow:: Pare noticeable increase in my ride's power! The new improved power kicks in at around 2500rpm more or less. Below that, its the same old Pajero :D :D :D

Glenn:: Dude, it still wont beat a Trooper hehehe :D

Note lang peeps, as Yellow pointed out, be careful of screw crossthreads. Dont work on a warm engine (as much as possible, the turbo should be touchable).

I used grade 5 12mm x 30mm bolts. Way too long. So i compensated by adding 3 washers on the other side of the mounting plate. The total height of three washers is 6mm. Unfortunately i neglected to vernier the stock screw. All i remember is that 16mm yung nakabaon sa manifold (sans mounting plate thickness).

    GOOD LUCK GUYS!!!

The actuator can on the 4M40 is located near the turbo di tulad ng 4D56 mahaba yung rod sa 4M40 nakakabit malapit sa turbo.

I just did the mods this morning. Total cost was Php 16.50 for six washers and two Grade 7 bolts.

As Yellow ang PK pointed out, lining up the washers can be a real PITA. I did the mods in under 30 mins. Nahulog pa kasi yung mga washers and hinanap ko pal.

My Pajero now hits an indicated 140kph from a standing start at the foot of the Commonwealth flyover to the corner of Elliptical road. Sarap! hehehe. Sabay rock pa ang music. hehehe.

    wreckless,

Yes pwede yan sa kahit anong engine na may turbo.

    OTEP,

What was your RPM at 140kph? I'm planning to buy one kaso ang mahal sobra ng pang diesel engine.

    Yellow,

Almost 4K rpm yata ako nun. When I went 150 kph dati, isang buhok na lang ang layo ko sa redline.

    ferdi,

Even when it was stock medyo mausok na ang WOT niya. But usually during shifting (redline shifted).

    OTEP,

Hmmm di ko kasi alam ang rpm ko when i reached 160kph and yon na din ang max ng speedometer ko, so did you feel a mark improvement? not only in the speed but overall response of the engine?

Response feels the same. Pero when the turbo kicks in, talagang tuloy tuloy ang delivery. Hehehe.

As in ang lakas talaga.

Nakikipagsabayan pala. Hehehe.

    KCboy,

    Friday it is.

    KCboy,
Kaya din yan sa LC80 basta may bolts ang actuator can, maybe the LC80 has a nut on the actuator rod its easier to adjust wala ng washers needed just shorten the actuator rod, hirap lang hulaan kung how much boost its giving, maganda talaga may boost gauge.
