    Hi guyz...

What can you say about the Lancer CBU Japan?

Thinking too much of this car, if this will be a worthy car. Im about to buy my firsy brand new car.

It's SRP is 1,235,000 But the dealer gave me a huge discount - 197,000 & the lowest All in Downpayment i got is 23k. Amd the monthly is 25k

    Common Freebies as well.

    What do you think?

Bro, which dealer/branch still has GTA stocks? I was looking for one recently, and no more stocks available na raw for any Lancer EX variant.

Why GTA by the way? There are many other options, and for Lancer EX if they have stocks, there are also more affordable variants like MX, GLS or GLX.

Seaman din father ko. Noon kahit afford namin mag low down di kami kumuha ng brand new. Ilang years kami nag tiis ng second hand na sasakyan. Vios then Revo pinakamatagal namin na gamit. Since depreciating ang value ng sasakyan di talaga yan inuna niya bilhin noon. Kahit ilang low down na nag alok sa kanya. Then nung tumagal an na promote siya sa barko at may ipon na pang down na mas malaki (40%) tsaka siya kumuha ng GS. It's worth the wait, mas natuwa siya sa GS compared sa ina eye niya noon.na Fortuner na low down.
Kaya tiis tiis lang TS and find a right car for you na magagamit mo all around.

My father in law, who is also a seaman, always recounts tales of his comrades. At the end of their careers, they never had any money left to keep, as they treated their wages as if it would never run out.

$2500 per month, for how long? Malaki ipon as seaman kasi wala kang gastos sa barko. Pero pano pag tapos na kontrata mo?

Are you 100% sure you can find a job that will pay as well as your current job, if not better?

I'm sure you noticed that this thread has become a financial advise thread, because honestly we all think it's unwise to spend all your money in a car. Wala ka ngang ipon eh, walang investments, walang insurance.

I would suggest you start with building an emergency fund first, equal to about 6 months of your expenses. This way, hindi man marenew kontrata mo, you have enough buffer to survive a few months as you look for your next job.

Then, I would suggest you start building the habit to invest. Invest maybe 30-50% of your salary in stocks/UITF since I assume di naman malaki ginagastos mo per month kasi nga nasa barko ka.

Then make a monthly budget. Also, set aside your money for savings/investment before even spending a single peso. The formula is not Income - Expenses = Savings. Rather, it's Income - Savings = Expenses. Otherwise, mauubos mo yung pera and at the end of the day wala ka na palang ipon.

Now, back to the car.

Feeling ko lang kasi, you're getting a new car to feed your ego. Mas nakakaimpress for me yung taong secondhand lang yung sasakyan pero maraming ipon at investment.

But again, at the end of the day. Pera mo yan. Buhay mo yan. Just know the risks and consequences of what you plan to do. Good luck.

Im all in with what you guys are sayin, but it seems TS really wants this car.
