sir *jodski, i believe it will kaso kasi overpriced masyado sa casa, i mean ok lang naman magbayad ng maintenance pero IMBA talaga presyuhan sa casa so i am looking for an alternative shop like speedyfix, shell, yokohama, motech, servitek and a reputable shop near cubao )referred by my colleague)

^actually the maintenance manual contains the thing that will be done every PMS

They just have 3 categories for it: light, regular and heavy

They just follow the sequence of light > regular > light > heavy > light > regular > light > heavy > light for every 5000km travelled

sir *kisshmet, yes po ganon na nga...what i meant earlier was to bring my PMS booklet/maintenance guide para may masundan yung shop na papagawan ko. incase, we need replacement parts, usually pwede ka naman bumili nun sa casa for OEM parts or aftermarket sa labas. kakatakot lang isugal ang warranty ng sasakyan. ang point ko lang is sobrang taga sila. was about to bring my car before sa casa for a regular/heavy checkup kaso nung nakita ko yung price ng 10K PMS / 15K PMS na tumataginting na 6-7k eh nagback-out ako at dumerecho sa shell gasoline station but made a purchase lang ng OEM oil filter nila.

many car owners do precisely that, sir. even tsikoteers here, po. but these owners do possess some knowledge on car maintenance. they can see potential problems where other car owners do not. if you-the-car-owner do not know your car, and the talyer you went to, only pretends to know... you're in potential trouble, po.

casa: "why should i honor a job guarantee by another shop that i have no control over, nor agreement with?" caveat emptor po.

btw. casas make more money from pms and repair, and not from car sales.

Ok here is a tip for your concern WARRANTY

the heart of every vehicle is the engine, in order to ensure warranty of your engine instead of PMS have the change oil only done at the casa. It costs only P350 sa casa

The rest have it done outside, for sure your service advisor will be scratching his head. After all youll just be paying for the oil filter, oil surcharge, gasket, change oil fee every 5000km

Many of the things that need to be done anyway you can do it yourself especially in the light PMS category. What you cant do on your own like wheel alignment or balancing just bring it to the shop

For me, hintayin na lang matapos ang warranty. Normally, 3 years or 6 times na PMS.

Depende siguro sa casa at auto pero may ibang major parts din ang engine na hindi dependent sa change oil. Andyan ang ECU, Turbo, injectors, transmission.

Yung 30K PMS or 2 years ang pinaka-heavy, palit lahat ng fluid, sumunod yung 20K sa cycle, the rest are light.

Our FB car group got hold of partner casa PMS schedule in excel.

I maintain a short list of trusted talyers that can do regular maintenance, and fix major problems. This is because in as much as I want to, I don't trust casas. Even back in the 60s when I was a child, my father used to complain that every time our cars came from the casa, either something would break down or some part had been replaced with an old one. When I started driving in the 70s and started maintaining our family's cars, I noticed the same thing. And when I bought my first brand new car in 2001, I experienced the same thing again.

I just got a new car, and am wondering if casas are more trustworthy now. If not, then after the initial 1000k and 5000k checkups, its back to my talyer.

Japanese casas now at this time are more trustworthy than the time before because they are being monitored more closely by the Japanese as the Japanese manufacturers won't want to risk their prestigious brand if they found out that the parts men are doing side rackets they would immediately dismiss them from work, although it still happens sometimes. Pansinin niyo if just in case na hindi kayo maaccomodate ng local dealer sa warranties you can immediately report them by emailing the Japan base company and in turn they will investigate the claim immediately and will penalize the dealer for any wrongdoing they may cause you, let's face it paliit na ng paliit ang mundo ngayon due to breakthrough in technologies like cellphone & the internet, the issue is going to be handled quickly compared to the old times without those technologies. Yung uncle ko nagreklamo sa Nissan Japan through email na bakit ang bilis daw nasira yung isang part tapos ayaw iwarranty nung casa nung una nagmamatigasan pa, ayun the Japanese immediately contacted the local dealer tapos the local dealer immediately contacted my uncle and will warrant the car na daw pero nagsabi yung tao from the casa bakit pa daw nagsumbong sa Japan, eh malamang ayaw nila ihonor yung warranty eh. Case solve.

Need your inputs lang mga gurus, i got a mirage g4 and i am nearing my 10k pms probably around next month. So far wala naman akong napapansin aside from matagatag at medyo maingay sa mga uneven road. May question is worth it kaya na magpaservice nalang sa mga gasoline stations or shops like motech? Thanks!!!

You will lose the warranty, which I think you already know. How old is your car? IMO, I'd casa service it for at least a year so that I'm sure that it's free of factory defects. Be familiar with your maintenance routine so that you know that you are not being taken advantage of.

Oil change every 6months. Must be api-sL or newer.

Transmission if automatic must be changed every 40000km. Fluid must be Toyota type-4
