Burnt smell sa Pajero 4D56 matic

Guys,

Need your help. Everytime umaakyat ako ng bundok, kahit hindi masyadong matarik, napansin ko na may mabahong sunog and pajero ko-4D56, matic. Ang amoy e parang sunong na bakal. BAkit kaya? Kahit 2 or 4WD ang gamitin ko, may amoy sunog pa rin. Bago rin na replace ang LSD oil niya. Dati, blink ng blink ang 4WD indicator pero hindi ko pinansin hanggang napundi, di kaya ito ang reason? Thanks.

check the tranny fluid level and kung ano kulay nung atf. keep us posted.

sir, parehas kayo ng barkada ko problem kaso nga lang po ngayon ay nasa stage na blink blink yung 4WD indicator nya pero hindi po nangangamoy. I tingin ko po yung sa hub yan.

hmmm...sa lancer namen pag ginamit ang invecs minsan nangangamoy? tranny fluid din kaya ito?

Let's hope tranny fluid lang coz pwede rin mismong tranny ang problema. Baka ma-agapan pa. Yung atf dapat clear and hindi amoy sunog. Cherry red din most atf. Pag amoy sunog na yung atf tapos maiitin then change atf muna baka ma-solve. 4d56 matic din yung sa wife ko.

SU -VIC ba yung unit mo? you have to change your A/T fluid (Dextron 3) and clean the the filter. This is quite an amount of work. They have to open the plate under the A/T where you will find the filter (looks like a metal screen).

Yung sa 4wd indicator mo, thats different, there's a vacuum sensor thats malfunctioning. yung unit mo gen2 pajero? that has 4wdH, 4wd L, and 4wdLLC. There's a thread on that already, use the search button or contact the Paj expert here mr.JGA22bo

Subukan mong hampasin ang solenoids ng 4wd system (on the passenger side inner fender near the firewall). Yung may parang black knobs. That usually does the trick for the flashing lights. Kaso baka nga pundido na lights mo. Check mo muna. Madali lang naman palitan ang bulbs niyan.

Napalitan na ba A/T fluid mo? Baka due for replacement na kaya pangit ang performance. Check the tranny cooler, too.

Thanks to all of you guys. Ang sipag nyo talagang mag reply, kaya malaking tulong sa lahat ng vehicle owners. Mine is 2nd generation paj, subic. Except for the sunog na amoy pag umaakyat, wala akong problema
