Mga sirs, gandang araw po sa lahat.
Same po ba itong castrol magnetic sa castrol magnatec?
Salamat po!
been using Mobil Delvac MX 15w40 and no problems with it, change every 5k km.
also tried Liqui-Moly semi synthetic 10w40, engine felt smoother.
though a bit expensive than mineral, it is worth it.
only problem is I can only find this oil at Hans in Shangrila Plaza and sometimes out of stock.
sir OT...
where can we buy distilled water pala? can we get it to establishment selling mineral water for dringking?![]()
Mga sirs salamat po sa REPLY,castrol magnatec and magnetic were talking of one identity pala. Questions po ulit mga gurus...
1.)kaya po ba ng castrol magnatec mga 8000kms
bago i change oil? since semi synthetic naman sya...
2.)another question po is kung naka 1 year na yung car pero d pa sya naka 5000kms. ok lang ba kahit d pa i change oil?
Gandang araw po sa lahat,
Toby

Mga Sirs good morning, newbie here. mga sir ask ko lang kung anong magandang fully synth na engine ang pwdeng gamintin for my advie, balak ko sana kasing gamitin ung Mobil 1 0W40 na fully synth, ok lang ba sya?
Thanks...
Mobil 1 is one of the reputable brands available in the market today. If you have the budget and the advie is always used in extreme conditions, then by all means go for it chief! AFAIK, any reputable brand (popular known & tested brands!) will do for as long as you change your oil and oil filter based on the manufacturer's recommended interval! For a 4d56 engine, I would say check out the Mobil Delvac 1 Fully Synthetic before making the final decision!
Just my two cents!
By simply switching from mineral oil to partly, semi & fully synthetic oil,we can expect additional engine life of 50-500%.Not bad isnt it?![]()
The addt'l engine life is not 50-500% ha.But using Mobil 1 fully syn oil, there was indeed proof of excellent engine protection. It might not reach 1 million miles since this was in a controlled environment and not much dust plus no start-ups (which is actually the most common source of friction esp in the morning and during frequent short trips).
In 1990 Mobil conducted an extraordinary experiment with Mobil 1 - the Million Miles Test. At Mobil's research center in the United States, a new BMW 325i, with a 2.5ltr in line 6 cylinder engine, was filled with Mobil 1, and then run continuously day and night for the next four years - stopping only for routine maintenance and servicing.
The BMW spent four years on the treadmill, 24 hours a day, mostly at 85 miles an hour but with varied speeds - down as low as 45 miles an hour to simulate everyday driving.
After the equivalent of a million miles of hard driving, the engine was stripped and examined. What they found was astonishing: there was no sign of any significant wear. Not only was the engine still in excellent working order, most parts were still within BMW's tolerance for a new engine!
