Best engine oil brand for 4d56?

OT lang po,
just acquired a pajero 90 manual diesel 3 door, any idea how many liters of oil for its tranny? what kind of oil to be used?

Questions mga sir, been using top 1 Sdo for 3 oil changes now, around 5.5k to 6.5k kms interval. Plan to change with shell rimula r4x or stay na lang ako sa top 1 sdo? Both are 15w40 api ci-4. For montero 2012 non vgt.

Guys pwede daw paabutin for 4d56 ang VIC filter + Top1 Diesel Engine oil for 10,000 Km? Anybody experienced this?

Got two cars with 4d56 engines aside from my sister's and sister-in-laws and based on experience any 15w-40 diesel engine oil will do.Hindi ganun ka selan ang 4d56 engine to the point na kahit monograde sae 40 ay pwede.

But as for the best engine oils i've used so far i can mention 3,namely: 1.Pertua diesel engine oil; 2. Petron rev x trekker; and 3. Caltex Delo Gold...all of which 15w-40.

I agree and would recommend Petron's trekker and Caltex's Delo oil. Both are priced competitively and are 15w-40 which I believe is ideal for the 4D56 & 4M40 engines.

Mga boss, need your help to choose a good engine oil for my next change oil. Gamit ko is now ung Shell Helix Ultra 5w-40 wala ako makita API sa lalagyan nya but ACEA A3/B3/B4,
P600++ per liter. Want to try sana other brand/type of oil, pede cheaper/pricey as long as ok cya. My unit is Montero Sport 2010 GLS 4d56 engine.

Other choice ko is DELO 400 MGX, di siya FS but API CJ-4/SM

a3/b4 is normally for gas engines and light duty diesels..

I have two helix bottles here...

shell helix ultra for gas and diesel: api sl/cf acea a3b4

shell helix hx7 for gas and diesel: api-sn acea a3/b4

I suggest you look for cj4 fully syntethic oils. ardeca have some fs oils that meet cj4

I suggest check these two FS diesel oil:
> Petron rev x (yellow bottle) sae5w-40w,cj4, acea: e7/b3/b4 (around PHP 476/L)
> PTT Dynamics sae5w-30w, ci4, acea: b3/b4/e7 ( around PHP 3300/ 6L)
Current 2017 Mitsu Monte FS oil is ci4 only based from the excess bottle returned to me from casa at 1k pm.

subjected naman ang good, maybe yung good sa akin hindi sayo. as i mentioned earlier, i tried mitsu casa oil, rp, delo 400, top1, mobil1 and lately zic. lahat naman good and i did not noticed any significant difference sa performance, sa longevity meron. actually personal curiosity lang yung iba kaya sinubukan ko. my unit is 176k odo na and is still serving me well.

brand at price depende na sa preference mo. what i can suggest, gamit ka muna ng viscosity 40, yung recommended na 15w40. then sa next oil change mo gamit ka ng viscosity 30 like yung 5w30. then let us know alin ang mas good [emoji4]

Right sir, nung nasa manila pa kasi tong unit naka casa lang lagi. Nung dinala ko na here sa cebu last year, PMS & major repair na lang ako sa casa. Then the change oil dito na lang sa malapit na gas station nag ask lang ako ng oil na pede sakin as long as FS without checking ung API etc. Factor din ba ang oil why grabe dumi ng EGR ko even nasa 10k kms pa lng after last linis nito sa casa? May nireccomend din sina sir StockEngine & DAD525 , i'll try muna si Petron REV-X All Terrain Diesel Engine Oil sae-5w-40 CJ-4 paired with Baldwin filter, by the way Baldwin BD28 ba sa 2010 model? TIA

Oo sir tsaka pangmatagalan ang engine niya. Pinapaltan ko kada 6 months kahit 3 to 4k lang natakbo hehe. Mineral oil lang nakalagay ngayon eh. 😁
