Not a mitsu driver, but I have a similar diesel.

I avail of shell's mineral oil type Helix na 15w-40. 2,200 pesos, with a bosch oil filter included.

no problemos.

I use elf 15W40 trophy dx and ViC oil filter. Change oil every 5K km or 6mos whichever comes first. Valve tappet adjustment to factory specs every 20K km. Change fuel and air filters every 20K km. I use OEM fuel and air filters as they give the best performance compared to replacement filters. My mileage now is almost 130K km and still going strong

i use to load mobil 1 fully synthetic 5w40 on my 4d56 pajero, performed well more than what i expected during my offorad escapades. if you 4d56 isnt high mileage, you could try it..goodluck on your choice of oil..

i'm also looking for the best engine oil.
i've tried shell helix, pero parang kulang sa hatak.
i changed to mobil, then after a few months (3 months), parang shaky na ung engine.
i've read na GTO engine oil is nice dw. has anyone tried this one?
what other engine oil brands can you guys recommend?

Ay mas mura nga sir sa autosupply. Anong kulay ng takip yung nabili mo? Yung silver na ba? Kung black yan yung old stock pa yun pero same lang naman siguro.

Pwede pa kaya ako mag fully synthetic sa 80K PMS. Ttry ko sana yung Royal Purple

Ang itim agad ng langis sa 4d56 kahit kaka changeoil pa lang. I'm using Castrol GTX 15w 40.

that's a good sign.. 'just means the oil has good detergency at natatanggal nya mga carbon instead of nadedeposit.. 'yan ang isang gauge kung mahusay yun oil.. aside from lubricity..

Personally, mas ok yung Castrol, parang mas madulas sya compared sa dalawang brand na sinubukan namin before (Shell and Top1).

Ok naman ang Castrol 5 years na Advie namin akala mo bago pa rin ang makina kasi ganon pa rin ang tunog. (Maingay pa rin diesel eh )

ask ko lang doon sa nagpachange oil ng "Paradigm" fully synthetic 5w50 oil (yung 275 Php/liter at nasa gray na containers) sa inyo sa Olympia Araneta, musta naman performance ng engine niyo? fuel consumption? when ang drain intervals nito? i had started using this on my vitara last week, doon ko narin pinagawa sa Olympia. almost 5 liters ang nagamit ko. wala kasi akong makitang kahit anong info sa net regarding this Paradigm brand. sa container niya nakasulat ito: Paradigm Formula 1 API SL-CF4 (so pwede ito sa diesel engines rin. SM na ang latest API ratings ng famous brands like Castrol, etc. so 1 rating below latest ratings lang yung Paradigm.) hopefully ok siya kahit unknown yung brand kasi sobrang sulit yung price

Caltex Delo Gold 500, medyo mahal pero ok ang performance. na try ko na din ELF and castrol. pero mas maganda hatak at engine noise. di masyado makalampag makina after cruising speed and then stop...

Nagpalit nako ng oil. Royal Purple 15w-40 mas maganda ang batak at matining ang makina.

I use castrol crb for about 5 years now, ok sya. na reduce black smoke of 4ja1. Although I tried mobil delvac mx on my 4m40, kaso di ako satisfied parang umingay. I'm going back with castrol but I will use the magnatec naman.
