For as long as they tie this up with the drive. Meaning,- you cannot engage R or D if you do not disengage the electronic handbrake,- this is a good development... (Electronic > Logic > Use it!)

Else,- if it is just for show,- return the manual handbrake, please.

We owned a fort. It could easily sit 3 big adults on the 2nd row.

Montero was always the small kid among the PPVs in interior space. That was my first consideration when buying one back in '09. Ended up with the Everest cos of the legroom.

Looking at this new one, interior space hasn't changed much. For a family with big kids, it's a major consideration.

More convenient but serviceability after warranty certainly needs a new learning curve. Hopefully service manuals become abundant over time.

I am also not a fan of these new handbrakes. Even push start buttons. Parang disposable na gadget pag nasira ang dating sakin

we won't go drifting with a suv, no need for a manual hand brake. hill start assist also eliminates that need. if battery is partially drained, I think functional pa rin cya. except for a totally drained battery. I tried push start a diesel car, mahirap esp if cold engine. no glow plugs to preheat. accelerator on new cars are more like an electric switch than a pull string. drained battery = no control of gas for push starting

I wonder how much that "some" turbo lag really is.

1500rpm at the speed limit. I assume that's 100? If so, that's really, really low. Should make for some terrific highway FC figures. The lowest at 100 I've personally driven was the Carnival 2.9 5AT at around 1750rpm.

    Any news if we're getting the 4N15 & 8 speed A/T?

Or is it back to the good old 4D56?

And is that multi-camera monitor giving way to AVT head unit with rear camera?

Hoping that Mitsubishi won't replace the nice HU of the Montero Sport with an AVT Headunit. They should now realize that majority of the motoring public with smartphones are now using Waze as their GPS, not the stock GPS of AVT and other touchscreen headunit brands. Just retain all the features present in the Thai market Montero Sport in order to compete with the feature packed Everest.

This is a very big possibility as our country will finally shift to Euro 4 fuels starting on January 1, 2016. Government also mandated all car companies to sell Euro 4 and above vehicles only by January 1, 2016.
