    It's glow plugs.

Madali lang check kung gumagana pa ito, remove them one by one so you will not get confused. Using two wires to connect them directly to your battery on each polarity. Careful, glow plugs do get hot. And hold the positive wire away from vehicle body. Healthy glow plugs should get hot and literally glow in red in a matter of seconds.

Its likely that your GLOW PLUG RELAY is kaput!

    Bili na and replace!

This is the component that produces the 'tick' sound every morning. And please make sure that this is the MAIN relay, located in the engine compartment, behnd the batt. Sure ako becauise this happened to me in my previous Pajero.

If your engine is 4m40 the original mitsubishi glow plug from EL Dorado (SM Megamall) is P1020 per piece. So kung apat ang kailangan mo 4080 lahat. Madali lang yan ikabit, plug and play, its right there on top of your engine block.
I replaced mine (whole set) a month ago after experiencing hard starting in the morning. Please don't attempt to buy cheap glow plug. I bought replacement from autoshop along commonwealth avenue that cost P120 per piece, mura nga kaso mo two days lang busted na.

not sure if it has a rubber cover, its the one that looks like a long piece of screw with a bar or wire attached on top.
