If ever I will get the new Montero, or any of the new diesel SUVs, I won't have the EGR blanked. Since due to the Euro 4 diesel and the engine being Euro 4 compliant, I don't see the need for EGR blanking. Besides, I have read somewhere here and someone also told me that having the EGR blanked would be bad for the environment because according to what I read somewhere here, blanking the EGR would make the vehicle emit more Nitrous Oxide, the major pollutant of diesel engines. Even if the emission tests for LTO doesn't measure NOx, I still won't risk harming the environment by having the EGR blanked. What's the purpose of having a more environmentally friendly engine and fuel if you're gonna do an engine mod that will make your vehicle spew more harmful NOx? Just my 2 cents
