If ever I will get the new Montero, or any of the new diesel SUVs, I won't have the EGR blanked. Since due to the Euro 4 diesel and the engine being Euro 4 compliant, I don't see the need for EGR blanking. Besides, I have read somewhere here and someone also told me that having the EGR blanked would be bad for the environment because according to what I read somewhere here, blanking the EGR would make the vehicle emit more Nitrous Oxide, the major pollutant of diesel engines. Even if the emission tests for LTO doesn't measure NOx, I still won't risk harming the environment by having the EGR blanked. What's the purpose of having a more environmentally friendly engine and fuel if you're gonna do an engine mod that will make your vehicle spew more harmful NOx? Just my 2 cents

I've seen black, red, silver, white, gray , bronze in person. And I like the gray most.

Loving it! first time to own a car with cruise control.

    Very helpful for long drives.

Also tried hill descent in baguio, titigas yung brake pedal. Dahan dahan cya bababa.

Sad to say also tried fcm. Somebody suddenly stopped in front of me. Mag isa cya nag brake. I thought that was one feature na sabi ko di ko gagamitin.

How does it work kaya dito sa Metro Manila, kapag bumper to bumper traffic at talagang tipong dapat nakatutok ka?

You can set it to a certain distance.

I think it has something to do with the speed you are currently at. Since pag traffic naman dito at mabagal ang galaw it will not engage

Bro i dont think pwede mo iadjust yung FCM. Fcm and ummc is two seperate safety feature of montero in other countries like thailand. Yung fcm will engage when the car is moving and will engage auto braking to avoid collision or reduce damage. Yung sinasabi mo yung umms ata yun. Ang ultrasonic misacceleration mitigation system from what i understand, this system will work if you are on full stop and there is an obstacle directly infront of the car and you step on the gas pedal. This system will engage thus will not move the car even you step on gas pedal. Sa atin laging bumper to bumper ang traffic and from my opinion kaya nila tinanggal itong feature na ito kasi hindi effective sa roads natin. Just my two cents.

Be glad since it was meant for that.

Just pray na lang na wala naka buntot sa likod mo when that safety feature engages.

Kaya nga ngayon since I'm already choosing between the Monty and the Eve, I have decided to hold off my purchase muna. Wait muna ako ng 2-3 years before buying. Kasi usually facelifted version na pagdating ng 3 years after initial launch and may mga nadagdag na features din. By that time din siguro, there would be more choices like the facelifted Chevrolet Trailblazer, facelifted Isuzu MU-X and Nissan's NP300 Navara based SUV

Test drove the GLS 4x2 base model earlier at WTC.

steering was much lighter than my 2011 glsv (kaya ng 1-handed maneuvering). the wife felt the ride was better too.

paid na rin the reservation fee. silver for the win!

Seen the MONTERO up close and personal, and I would say it really looks good compared to just seeing it in the pics. Design and Quality of the interiors compared to the previous generation for me is probably 2 notches up. One gripe is the headroom, just like in the previous generation, ceiling is quite low. I surely would like to test drive the MONTERO, specifically the GLS Premium.

Tested sa Baler last weekend. 9 kaming sakay ... 3 sa 3rd row. Power is amazing, aircon is very good, suspension is also good. wala ako masabi sa all new montero sports lalo na yung sports mode nya.

My fuel consumption was 9.6 kms/L very loaded sya ng sakay. kaya nyang mag 600 kms sa isang full tank.
