Thanks for the replies. Just talked with an insider in mitsu plant. Ang sabi the steering issue is more of a qa thing. Affected units were the first 4 batches na dineliver. Nakalimutan daw lagyan ng grease pack or somethibg sa assembly plant. Yung grease na ginagamit dito is sub par quality.
So far yung mga bagong u its ngayon is not affected anymore. Ang prob daw madalas reklamo ngayon is brake pad wearing prematurely.
Hmmmm mukang mas ok ang monty kesa mux ah hehe.
Just want to share my story. I was able to cross off the MuX from my shortlist early because of the ff:
-old euro 2 engine (addressed already by changing to euro 4, wonder how this affects the so-called "reliability and durability" of isuzu engines )
-exterior design turned me off since halos kapatid na siya ng previous gen trailblazer and it looks to plain for me
-interior design and materials used put me off more, it just doesn't feel premium enough for a 1M peso plus vehicle, mas maganda pa interior ng under 1M Honda/Ford cars
-features feel a bit lacking compared to competitors
These are all subjective though as some people might find the MuX worth their money.
My final choices were the GLS Premium or the Everest Trend as both are similarly priced after discounts. Got the Montero because of the MIVEC diesel engine and 8-speed AT. I'm also a fan of its looks/porma, interior design and feel is ok for me, Ford did the interior better though IMO. Ride and comfort is also exceptional with the Montero in this segment IMO. Long-term ownership, mmpc wins here based on experience of owning both a ford and a mitsubishi vehicle at the same time for about 10 years hehe.

Thanks for the input. I own a 2015 mux and i love it to bits. They improved the interior now with more soft paddings but really is no match for the interior quality ofnthe montero.
We isuzu fanboys just have this happines for the peace of mind the the vehicle gives. Engine is so lazy and understressed kaya its a good candidate for longevity. Also the reason why im thinking of getting another one.
The only thing that worries me most on all new and upcoming cars are the electronic components, regardless of the car brand and make, and the Monty is no exception to that.
