Hi guys, does anyone have a link for the PDF owner's manual of the 2016 Monty?
Gusto ko sana basahin sa phone ko para hindi na kelangan dalhin palagi yung mabigat na booklet.

Noticed na medyo madulas nga siya. Planning to get a flat rubber matting to put on top of the floor liner. Don't want to use the "free" carpet matting given by the dealer.

Keep the stock air intake and put it back if may warranty problems.
Major modification kasi gagawin mo at baka magkaproblem with warranty claim

I used to do this routine before turning off engine especially when Monty is parked on an inclined surface.

    D => FOOT BRAKE => P => HAND BRAKE

but from what I observed the car move slightly either towards the front or back, depending on how you park. Then when I will be rolling off to start driving again, I am having a hard time moving the shift lever from p => D. So what I did is changed my routine just to see if there will be any difference.

From FULL STOP => FOOT BRAKE => N => HAND BRAKE or E-BRAKE => RELEASE FOOT BRAKE => STEP ON FOOT BRAKE => P => RELEASE FOOT BRAKE

No more slight movement either FRONT or BACK and no more difficulty shifting from P to D when using the monty again.

    my guess.
tire's sidewall was pushed inward by something, causing the bead seal to separate and open up.
air gushed out when the seal was broken, causing the tire to go limp.
then, running flat, the wheel ran over something tall and hard, pushing the deflated tire tread against metal rim inside, causing the metal to collapse and "rip".

a detailed inspection of the tire, rim, and scene of the incident, should be fruitful.

my other guess is, vehicle was moving at a fast clip, when it ran over something tall and hard (a rock?), causing the tire to momentarily "give", resulting in the hard, tall object to push the rim from underneath, causing it to rip.

but all these do not detract from the original question: was the rim "weak" or defective?
the picture shows the manufacturer's mark on the rim. does anyone know, whose it is?

    Defective rims...

Candy J. Medina - Para po sa lahat ng nagtatanong....Okay... | Facebook

Para po sa lahat ng nagtatanong....Okay here's the deal.. a friend and my staff were on our way home, it was yesterday, Sunday Morning, after we closed the restaurant. We are just 30 steps away from home within our street.. suddenly a sudden noise and movement happen, I thought sumabit kame or nabangga.. pero hindi.. Un pala sumabog ang gulong ng Montero!!! Tumama kame ng bahagya sa may poste na maliit papasok ng gate dahil sa pagkaka sabog ng gulong. I hit my face and it bled ng super dami, tumama din ang tuhod ko and left elbow was also aching. To my surprise, paano? But its just 5k kilometer reading and Kaka buy lang last December 2016, plus makapal ang gulong ng Montero so how come, recorded pa ang air pressure nito at 32 lang. Ano nangyari and paano???
Were almost home.. kaya tinuloy ko ang pag drive since malapit na pero super bagal ako kase ayoko masira ang Rims ng Montero.. The guard that heard the noise, lumapit at inilawan kame and ang gulong, ang sabi mam sumabog po ung Rims.. nag oo nalang ako kase i thought he was referring to the tire (yung goma)
In the afternoon I was looking for someone to change tires for me, since I don't know how, and I am a single mom so hindi ako maka alis ng house. I asked help with some friends through messanger and buti nalang ung pinsan and a Kagawad na friend of mine to the rescue..
Upon removing the tire.. hinanap namin butas sa mismong gulong.. but there was none.. to my surprise meron butas pero ndi sa gulong kundi sa Rims/ Mags niya meaning tama si kuya guard na hindi namin pinansin cuz we just wanted to go home na kase tired na kame..
Then pinalitan na nang spare tire, after palitan hindi na aligned ung Wheels and hindi na sumusod ung isang kanang gulong sa steering wheel..
Would u imagine if this happened to me on a highway? What more damage it can bring? I don't feel safe with this car anymore and it threatened me using it again kahit maayos pa siya. Saan and pano mabubutas ang Rim ng ganito ka grabe? Mitsubishi Montero Sport? How can u make your clients feel safe in riding your cars?
Ps: Ayoko sana po i-post but friends tell me do it, I think this is a one in a million case that still can save lives. Paki share nalang if you think this post is worth sharing. Thank you.
