    Zix,

What is the brand of the montero evaporator found behind the compartment?

What is the refrigerant in the manual?

What is the volume of the refrigerant in the manual?

Montero have dual air con right?

Speaking of camera, is there a way to change the color settings of the backup cam? Nalalabuan ako comparing it to my Mazda 3. Halos black and white na siya.

    To current owners of montero,

Do you tend to forget to release the park brake every now and then because its no longer a lever switch?

Yun din concern ko for the new owners ng naka electronic parking break.

Like any other new thing, Sa umpisa you have to remind yourself of the electronic park brake. But eventually you'll get used to it especially if you drive the Montero on a daily basis.

Ako naman ang problema ko, minsan i look for the electronic park switch even when I'm driving the other vehicle which has the traditional lever. And vice versa.

aandar syempre like a normal parking brakes would. I don't forget because I made it a habit ever since not to begin driving when I see any warning light lit.

but I can see others having a greater tendency to forget. I'm not much of a fan of electronic parking brakes(and push to start) but I appreciate the coolness factor.

siguro ang advantage, always same level of pressure all the time. unlike yung mechanical na may tendency to be pulled too hard (or too little) at times.

I see. Ano kaya reason why hindi nilang ginawang ma bypass yung pagapak mo sa gas while on drive. For me, dapat siguro pag naka engage yung parking break kahit anong gas mo dapat di aandar.

Nasira parking break. Di kame umandar. Hehe. Yung response ba niya eh parang nag gas ka at neutral? Or parang gusto kumawala ng gulong?

[emoji6][emoji6][emoji6]

How soon did you get to adjust as in kick the habit of searching or pulling up the lever?

Does it sound or alarm the driver just in case you forget to disengage the park brake in Dmode?

I actually tried this earlier. From standstill with epb engaged, you won't move by just lightly stepping on the accelerator. Step harder and you'll hear beeps while still stationary.

So the car didnt move an inch (0kph on the speedometer) while sounding the alarm?

How about the tachometer? I expect it to rev

Tachometer reached about 1.5k rpm or so before beeping starts. Car remained stationary. I didn't push beyond that.

Btw don't worry about your adjustment phase, it'll be second nature after a couple of trips.

I think that simply that is not how a car is designed. The car's power is too great for any brake to overcome.

But other cars I've driven (rented not owned) with electronic brakes in the past would automatically disengage the (electronic) parking brake when the car is switched to D or when certain speeds are reached, some would just let you drive with the parking brakes on.

I haven't verified how the new montero does it. 2nd week of ownership pa lang ☺️. that is what I will find out later. Anybody who knows for sure?

Im not saying that the parking break should stop the car from moving by holding the wheels as much as it can. What I am trying to say is that if the parking break is engage and you are in drive postion and you step on the gas, it should not move at all. it should bypass the drive and it will act as if you are not in drive but in neutral postion no matter how hard you floor the gas pedal. Pwede rin like what you said, if you press on the gas at certain level, it will disengage the parking break.

Usually the otherway around talaga. For montero, mag bbeep if tnry mo mag gas while naka elec brake.

I think yun pinaka ok na implementation.

yun iba naman, the moment you switch to drive (D) nawawala na agad parking brake, ok din naman ganun
