Based on LC ang current Fort kaya dami bumibile, pero the new Montero Sport cant even identify with the might Pajero coz it's too soft a rider.

Maybe that is the perception of the buyersm it looks to pretty. A lover not a fighter

How are the prices now? Heard that fortuners are not being offered unless you buy 50-60k worth of accessories, even with financing. Run up ang demand kasi before excise tax gets implemented

I, too, spent much time choosing between the Fort and Montero. Read everything I can. Being based on the LC is a definitely a plus for the new Fort but I can't seem to find any source that confirms this.

    Can anyone provide a citation?

The Toyota Fortuner is not base on the Toyota Land Cruiser ... the only thing they have in common is the logo ... The Toyota Land Cruiser is a different beast altogether ...

The first gen Fort are based on the IMV project of ztoyota, so hilux, innova, fort sharing the same underchassis

This time the new Fortuner is miles different from the Innova, with the latter being a soft rider crossover and the hilux pcikup with leaf springs . The new zfort took the same suspension ss the Prado.

Take nite however, na hundi yun Land cruiser na tig 5M ang basehan ng current Fort kungdi yun tig 3M na LC Prado. Just look at the two side by side, hidni pa ba obvous ang suspension system, Independent wishbone sa harap and multlink sa likod

That's why ganun na lang ang January sales ng Fortuner, 3k+ in January 2017 alone. In february, lost sales na ang everest by 200 units while the MuX at 300+ na lang sa Feb.

Where do you think those sales went to? Montero Sport is selling though Mitsu is keepingn the figures . I dont know why?

Not necessarily shocks ang sira. Car suspension is composed of many parts (shocks, stabilizer, springs) baka nga wheel joint lang daw ang problem sabi nung isang napagtanungan ko.

My old man got his GLS last Tues delivered to the house and we just drove it around the village this morning since wala pang OR/CR. First time driving an SUV. I'm loving the interior as well as the Navi (since my Mazda3 doesn't have navi lol). Naaliw lang ako kasi it has all the street names in our village inisip ko kasi na baka missing mga ibang info. Couldn't do the mirroring though (i could've been doing something incorrect). I'm not done reading the owner's manual yet, but I couldn't find if there was a call button control (voice command)/option on the steering wheel?
Medyo napamadali din pagpurchase niya kasi nainis siya sa Honda Alabang who promised him a BR-V Modulo variant within 2 weeks after making a reservation. Yet after a month wala pa rin AND di man lang siya inuupdate. Dad ko pa yung naghahabol (thank God din kasi I was discouraging him to get that). Anyway he got the GLS instead of the GLS Premium because the latter was 2016 and the former, 2017 and ayaw nila ng leather seats. Anybody know the difference between the 2 (except for the airbags, DRL and leather seats)? We don't have a brochure so I don't know what features the 2017 GLS has or doesn't have.

One problem of the Current Montero is its design. It's out of the box, somewhat naiiba, it looks good,

But tignan nyo ang nangyari sa CRV gen 1 vs CRV Gen 2, the gen 1 became more popular because it is more SUV looking when it aged that the Gen 2 na mukang AUV or hybrid van. The SUV savy like looks aint just there noon hindi na makintab ang gen2 sa kalumaan. And more people still like the gen1.

That could be a problem pag nawala na ang shinyness ng current Montero Sport, in fact baka mas mukhang macho looking pa ang prev, gen SUA Montero in the long run

Those chrome dynamic shield pag puri swirls na yun wont help much in the appearance of the 3 year old current gen Montero.

Something to consider, unlike the MUX or Fort, talagang macho SUV talaga even if magluma. Maybe that's why the old Land Cruisers are so popular, kssi talagang SUV na suv ang dating.

The old Alterra, the predecessor of MUX, ang pangit diba hindi mukang SuV pag luma na

I dont know. Fortuner's face for me is so ugly full front looks like a horse. Side profile smooth and sleek walang cuts parang hotdog/ banana boat. Only the rear looks good for me and the rear windows/floating roof section.

On the Montero I like everything except the rear. Although with rear spoiler nagiging balance ang looks due to.sharp edges. Compared sa wala spoiler parang kalbong may matalim.na iyak. Round and sharp di maganda. So spoiler lng ok na. Side profile especially yung bulked fenders machong macho tingnan. Front modern tingan and futuristic

Kanya kanyang taste na lang yan hehe. i dont have both.
