Hi guys, anyone experience their car audio cutting out while driving? Napapansin ko madalas magskip yung audio kapag highway driving.

Split second lang. Bumabalik din kung saan nawala but annoying kapag nagdrive ka.

    hello tsikoters,

Newbie here. Planning to get our very first SUV a huge upgrade from the then subcompact Mirage. I wanted to go for a different brand (Toyota Fortuner), just so maiba naman, however, been reading that the Montero trumps the Fortuner in almost all aspects. I was wondering, if anyone could possibly single out 1 or 2 things about the Montero which actually bothers or displeases you owners. Just to see if this is something i can live with.

Also, hehehe saan dyan sa Manila best deal to get a Montero? Form Cebu kc ako and want to see if getting one in the Metro would land me a way better deal.

    Thanks and more power!

Basing from the post above that sumama ang leveling ng suspension ng Montero while overloading it, then that is a sign na pag nagluma ang cureent model na ito eh hindi ito pantay. It's a big body, a raised big body, so baka nga we'll be expecting Monteros in 2 years na tagilid or leaning to one side.

Im about to get a GLS Premium this April pero natakot ako sa case above. Somehow, I partially beleive that coz that Montero body is not really as sturdy looking ss the other PPVs like Fort and MUX. And Montero winning the COTY 2016 as a sedan - like ride is not even helping. Mukang soft ang Montero ah. Observe mode ako

I think the car will be fine as long as you don't overload it. Kaya nga nilagyan nila ng load limit eh.

Yung mga sakay ko nun 5 sa gitna (3 adults+2 kid), 3 sa likod (2 adults+1 kid), 1 adult sa harap. Overload lang ang term ko dahil puno. During the trip wala ka naman nararamdaman smooth nga yung ride. Kinabukasan ramdam na. Ang worry ko lang, marketed as 7 seater to so dapat mauutilize mo talaga ung maximum passengers tapos lumambot agad ung suspensions.

Application of recent automotive technology lang ang lamang ng montero sa forutner such as but not limited to electronic parking brake, TPMS, parking sensor and cruise control (not existing sa G ng Fort), 8 speed transmission (useless sa metro manila) and the to be tested for reliability 4N15 engine.

Lamang ng Fortuner, Toyota badge. Ahehehe...

Last year lang naman nag number one sa sales ang fort dahil sa SUA daw naniwal ang mga tao. Pero in terms of performance and reliability montero pa din. Comfort pa lang in riding is panalo na ang montero. Sabi nga ng winterpine which they cater both toyota ng mitsubishi on their head unit and alarm matagal na daw problema ng toyota ang kanilang suspension na matigas di daw maayus ayus ng engineering dept nila. Even my ofcmate and friends na may fort matagtag ang exp compare to their montero. No more can explain but SUV of 2016 both 4x2 and 4x4 [emoji6][emoji6][emoji6][emoji6]

I would agree the toyota badge indeed carries its merit, however, i do find the Mitsubishi too a reliable counterpart. hehehe.. kakainis lng na every 5k ung maintenance while others are already at 10k

Agree with this. Baka nga navigation warnings ang nagsasalita ng mahina thats why the sound gets cut off. Nangyari rin sa akin yan and ive set all warning beeps and sounds to zero

Owner probably loaded more than 600kg (limit). Im guessing 800kg

According to Australian specs maximum weight for the rear axle is 1600kg. considering a 55:45 weight distribution for the 2000 kerb weight. Suspension will get damaged.
