Really disappointed of the new design. Grills look cheap and the rear bumper looks out of place na parang dinikit lang and doesnt conform to any contour. We'll see the if this design translate into sales. But with the new Hilux coming out that looks like a tacoma, baka mg face lift nang maaga ang strada

Fugly grille assembly. Same length overall with the Ranger but with same height and width as old model. No official word on wading depth but ground clearance is the same with the old model. I like the interior and dark color of the side trims and seat but the steering wheel is similar to that of the Mirage, parts bin sourced? What's nice about this is the new electric 4WD system (which almost all new trucks and SUVs are adopting) and electric start stop ignition. If the MT variant has the same smooth action as the outgoing model then this would be a good buy.

Will wait for the face lifted model

buti nalang nakabili na ako ng strada whewww!! hindi ko type yun bago hahaha

    1. grabe yun grille nya parang foton parang nagmukang cheap...

Nice new engine just like skyactiv-D, tipid nito sa diesel at magaang. sana super select 4wd na offer nila.

Also I think the design is ok, mas maganda siguro to in person tapos agressive styling.

i agree, the front and back views are not something to be proud of. yung side view nya mas ok, and siempre mas improved ang interior. wala na rin ang feature na unique sa strada , and rear vent window (one of the reasons why i bought mine is this feature )

Here's what the Montero might look like.

The Strada's new design looks much better as an SUV than a pickup.

Wow, Sir Jut, this one's definitely way better than the Thai design specially the grill / nose part. Hope this design pushes through.

Hopefully a black honeycomb grille. A chrome honeycomb grille only looks good in a black hiphop music video.

You're right, mas kamukha niya yung sa MU-X.

This is what first came into my mind kasi when I saw that grille:

Olats naman, di yung MIVEC ang kinabit sa bagong Strada. Inaabangan ko pa naman sana yan. Boo!

MIVEC engine requires Euro IV diesel. Maybe they'll bring the MIVEC engine by 2016 when all are required to sell Euro IV diesel.

We're not getting the new MIVEC diesel engine.

Mitsubishi is going to the formula of if it isnt broke, dont fix it... The one consolation is that the 4D56 VGT has tons of parts...and is pretty reliable...and tested.

Looking at the new Strada, it's starting to grow on me...

Key will be pricing, No doubt that the TOTL 4x4's from FORD, Nissan and Chevy are hovering at 190-200 HP and boatloads of torque.
But we all know that most buyers opt for the 4x2's. And with the competition offering low engine models at the 4x2 range, the Strada's engine spec suddenly feels at par if not better.... knowing Toyota, they'll just carryover last gens engine.
And with Mitsubishi's no Bullshit selling strategy ( NO Large DI's and forced in house BS from Ford and Toyota).. I'm predicting a competitive 4x2 variant from this pick up segment.... Mostly lifestyle buyers will pass over the 4x4 variant along with the previous gen owners who might not see the incentive to upgrade.

Yes its true, 4d56 is very reliable engine. A lot of spare parts and easy to maintained.
