it has its benefits pero di naman necessity. kung nakaugalian mo naman mag-idle run bago ka magpatay ng makina then no need for a turbo timer. or after a long drive at malapit ka na sa destination mo, magslow down ka na. ang iniiwasan mo kasi diyan is yung sudden stop ng makina at umiikot pa ng mabilis yung turbo mo. since patay na ang makina at wala ng supply ng oil, may tendency na matuyo yung oil sa turbo bearings at yan ang iniiwasan natin. so far wala pa naman napabalita na montero users na nagpalit ng turbo bearings o buong turbo assy dahil sa ganyan.

sir how about ung mga 30-45 mins lang na city drive?kelangan pa din b ng idle before shut down ung engine or no need na?

mga sir need b magpalagay ng turbo timer para sa gls-v or pwedeng idle for 5-10 mins nalang after ng long run?

Not really required, if you have patience enough para maghintay to idle the engine after usage, big-savings, maliban sa gastos sa turbo timer, so increased life of the engine..

ang turbo kasi is a "small" turbine "engine" wala po itong "cooling system", unlike sa 4D56 engine itself, meron syang cooling system (radiator & coolant) ang turbo, is cooled down by means of "Ram Air" kung naka-stationary yung sasakyan (idle mode w/engine running) so ang nagiging cooling system ng turbo is the cooler fan from the engine radiator,

to prevent "thermal shock" not only for the turbo, pati na rin sa mismong engine, to increase the lifespan, lessen the wear and tear, at lesser maintenance.. (in short, laki ng savings rather than spending..hehe )

Was wondering if madali lang palitan busina ng Montys natin without voiding the warranty? Plug and play lang ba ito or may mga gagalawin na wirings? Medyo mahina yung stock horn natin. hehe Suggestions would be welcome on how to go about this.

di ko pa nakita sir cokyi kung saan naka-position yung horn ng monty natin...nasa behind the logo po ba ito or sa gilid ng near the headlight?! ayon sa magazine na nakuha ko po...hehe

naka-low at high ang horn...no wires attached, lipat lang po sa position. by means of screw.

1. not only the cabon deposit galing sa exhaust, pati na rin ang "carbon monoxide at fumes" galing sa exhaust,
kaya iwasan tumambay sa exhaust area....

2. it means yung engine ECU and the fuel injector amount control, properly functioning..kaya normal yun experience ng delay..

ang engine ECU ay merong sensors kung gaano yung application ng tapak sa accelerator pedal at dun sa compensation timing at control ng fuel injection...ayon din po sa magazine na nabasa ko...



ano po ba yung transmission ng GLS-V unit nyo po?! the AT po ba or the MT?!

same model variant po tayo pero sa amin is the MT version,

pero ang pahabol po doon sa magazine, merong drive train system protection control ang MT. (4WD)

control ni ECU is fuel injection amount para di lumagpas sa 3000RPM..

first and reverse gear, kung na 4LLc position
kung less than 5kms/or less ang takbo..

once in a while, especially sa umaga bago ka lumabas ng garahe bombahin mo gas pedal para lumabas ang naipon na carbon deposits. or kung maluwag ang daan at safe, biritin mong patakbuhin para lumabas yung makapal na usok.

yung delay that is yung turbo lag na tinatawag. wala pa sa desired rpm para yung turbo maabot yung boost na kailangan kaya parang hirap. usually nasa 1800 to 2000rpm bago mag-engage ang turbo. to minimize the lag and improve the response, need mo pedal box o kaya naman diesel chip.

Normally Inav announces whenever updates are available from their website. You will just need to back up your sd card and download the new file.

di maiiwasan po talaga sir gwen0412 na magkaroon ng gasgas ang sasakyan lalo't ginagamit....

meron po ata kayong naatrasan na sharp object, kung litaw lang po yung primer, makukuha po yan sa rubbing compound, pero kung medyo dent at litaw na yung lata, pa-estimate nyo na lang sir sa gumagawa ng body-shop or kung pasok sa insurance yung damage.

kung hindi naman po kayo maselan sa body-scratch, as long as na hindi naman badly damaged, hayaan nyo na lang, problema na ng tumitingin yan at ang importante ay yung mga safety features ng ating monty gumagana at yung performance ng sasakyan ay hindi nagbabago...

imo, there's no too early for detailing. the earlier you have your paint detailed and protected with wax or sealant the better. new units even the latest 2014 models may look shiny and smooth but before they are delivered and handed over to buyers, they transported them from the manufacturing plant and long been parked in open storage areas of the distributors. paints get contaminated along the way and watermarks baked under the sun. before they hand it over, they just wash it and apply show glaze to hide any scratches, watermarks and other imperfections. more often and just after a few washings, you will notice that there is no more glow in your car paint.

Di ko na check personally, but according to the accessoeries person at diamond motors it was 2.5, now it's 3.

I just update mine by myself. Just to inav.ph, punta ka lang sa new updates, then choose OEM - factories installed.

I'm not sure kung meron ng specific update for 2014 Montero. Mine is 2013 so andun sya sa choices. I'm guessing that 2013 and 2014 have the same HU.

thanks Sir Saki for the good info about sa latest update sa GPS, tamang tama, hindi ko pa nakukuha SD card ko, pa-update ko na lang doon sa sales agent/accessories dept..naka safe-keep pa kasi yung SD card namin...
