shell v-power/fuel save diesel - euro 2
petron turbo diesel/diesel max - euro 2
caltex techron diesel - euro 2
seaoil bioexceed w/ STP additive- euro 3, but further enhanced to perform as good as euro 5
unioil diesel - euro 4

ano ba dapat euro category ng Montero natin?

euro 2, ang makina ng Montero natin ay yung old pa na 4d56 engine na kailangan ng added lubricity sa fuel. so kapag gumamit ka ng higher euro rating na diesel na less ang sulfur content, kailangan mo ng additional lubricant sa fuel mo. kaya nakakatulong yung pag add ng 2t oil sa fuel. hth

sir longrun, adding 2T is by preference lang and not compulsory. you can give it a try and observe if there is difference in your engine noise, vibration, exhaust...etc.

EGR blanking para iwas pusit or black thick smoke ng montero pag hinataw.
RaceChip more power and response. Sir. Pwede rin maging fuel efficient depende sa settings mo po sir.

Yong mabigat na manibela mawawala yan lampas 3000 km mileage mo.....for me, one issue for glsv is the turbo lag....

Sa bigat ng steering eh masasanay ka nalang sir. Pwede mo rin itaas yung tire pressure mo para lumambot steering mo sir. Pero pag tagal eh masasanay ka narin sir. About sa glsv gtv issue talaga yang turbo lag. Kaya ang iba naglalagay ng sprint boosters or performance chip like rcp/ unichip. Meron ding iba diyan nag upgrade ng fmic nila hehehe! * boss zix wala pa ba epektos natin diyan?

Hi, posted this query on 2013 thread. Reposting it here too in case someone can help me out in this thread. Cruising at NLEX from 100-140kph, we are hearing a loud sounds of wind. As if one of the window is open. We immediately checked all windows & ventillation/aircon (if coming from external) but both are fine. The sounds goes like na parang you are in front of the electric fan. Btw, my ride is 2014 GLS-V.

If anyone here with 2014 MS that have encountered the same, please share what is the diagnosis from your service advisory. TIA.
Note: i am not referring to the whistling sound of the turbo. This is different from the sound i mentioned above.

Took a leave last Thurs to have my Monty cheched. A technician from Mitsu Marcos Hway went with me to NLEX to check this. He was surprised of the loud wind blowing sound. Currently, they are still investigating this.
I shared the status here to check if you also encounter it with your Monty 2014 model. My brother also bought 2014 and also experienced the same. For us it is not normal and quite alarming. Technician already reported it to MMPC.
Hope someone from this 2014 thread could also share his/her experienced if encountered it. Thanks in advance.

Have you checked if the window rubber seals are all ok? That includes the rubber around the windshield.

This might not be the case but this just give me a hint since it happened to me once(not a montero though). One of the "rubbers seals" was folded..

That is the initial assessment of the technician who went with us in NLEX. He was just surprised that he can hear it from all the doors. When we get back, he checked the rubbers and he said that it is fine.

As interim solution, he sprayed silicon to all the rubbers to soften it. Medyo na-reduced nman when my family went back to Bulacan on the same day. But the next day ay malakas na nman. Hope they can find the cause. I will share here the report once received from them. TIA.

If your planning to install occ gamitin mo yung pwede mabuksan sa itaas para malagyan ng baffle since almost all occ are hollow inside especially the cheap ones I have mine installed cusco brand sealed type useless sya labas pasok parin yung langis transparent hose kasi gamit ko kaya kta ko yung langis sa outlet at inlet hose. After searching through the net i decided to make my own occ with 3 layers of screen between them i will place a steel mesh and air filter to ensure a clean air.
